RCA Scenium D40W20 40" Rear Projection HDTV - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Tv doesnt turn on at all
It seems
that your unit has some sort of PSU
fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. The noise is what gives it away. This
happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man
and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done. It is that sound that gives it away, this is a typical
switchmode Power Supply problem.

When i turn on my
do you see thin curved blue lines going from bottomto top of screen. If so its most likley a blue CRT drive board issue. If its a solid blue it could be a small signal board issue.

My RCA Scenium 52" tv
You have bad grounds on the power board. The first place are the solder connections under neath the flyback transformer. This is my first area of inspections. You must really, really inspect the rest of the board. This TV has many poor solder connections too numerous to pin point. These are very small and will take an extremely close inspection. I cannot say enough here. Look for bad solder grounds on the vertical IC (do not use excess solder or you will short this IC). Look for solder connections on transistors, diodes, jumpers, power resistors and capacitors. Capacitors include electrolytic, disks and safety capacitors.Resolder other transformers too. Be sure to check close for bad solder connections on the heat sinks as well. Next, use an ESR meter to check all your electrolytic capacitors. This is a good place to start repairs. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Were is the HDMI HOOK
If there is not one in back, it could have the old style DVI jack. You'll need a DVI to HDMI adaptor.

What is the Chassis number printed on back? ITC222? Are you sure its the FBT?
UED has Parts and boards for these sets, 1-800-648-6657 they should be able to give you correct part number.
AMCE for flyback Transfomers 1-800-575-9833

My tv will turn on and then after a while it turns
there is most likely a bad connection on the power board. i really suggest not letting it do that all night unplug the tv it can do alot of damage to the tv if it cycles like that for long periods of time.

When i turn on my tv it lights up the on and off
At the back... small door.. remove old bulb and replace it with new. It could be blown and it is protecting the rest of the TV
On google put: RCA D40W20 parts.
Near the top will be a site to go to and they will ship to you and it is easier than changing a home lightbulb

Ur power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics’ and soldering?
Most of the times, the power suppply board just have dead leakages gases
capacitors. These capacitors alway bulges up on it top,or puff up on it
top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get ur tv power stable, and
