If you are trying to use a Dish Network remote control, then you are probably out of luck. Most Dish remotes do not have remote codes for TV/DVD or TV/VCR combos. There are just too many codes out there to put into one remote control. I'm sure they tried to walk you through a code search (hold the TV button down, etc.), so if it didn't show up then, then you are probably stuck with using two remotes or adjusting manually.

If they didn't try a code search, then try this:

Turn the TV on manually. Then, press and hold the clear TV button at the top until all the buttons at the top turn red, then release. Press and release the TV power button (the smaller red power button), and press the channel up button. Repeatedly press and release the channel up button about once a second until the TV turns off by itself, then press and release the # button at the bottom right hand corner of the remote, and the TV button will flash 3 times, confirming that it took the code. Press and release the clear SAT button at the top left, and then you should be good to go.
If the TV never turns off during the code search, and the TV button at the top of the remote flashes a bunch of times everytime you press channel up, then there are no more remote codes. The remote does not have the code for your TV.

When the channels show up in red thats an indication that they are not programmed into the TV set. Your going to need the original remote, go into the menu and then press auto scan with an attenna attached to the set. If it wont scan then you have a bad microprocessor

Without more details there is only a couple of conclusions - maybe the set top box you have is faulty or incompatible in some way with either the tv or the antenna. Incompatibility with the tv seems unlikely as presumably the on-screen menus generated by the box are displayed satisfactorily - allowing you to select a menu, scroll and select an item and then view the channel seeking process. If this is so it suggests the connection between the box and tv is good. That rather suggests the box is faulty or the antenna is faulty or incompatible.
