If the unit shuts OFF after 10 seconds, it means protection
Circuits are activated.
Could also be the Protection Circuits are having the failure.
There are many things to consider,
Power Supply Voltages on the Horizontal def Circuits
( which have
Flyback
transformer and a hor Out Transistor )
There could also be possible bad capacitors.
( Either on Power Supply Circuits or Horizontal Def Circuits )
One have to check on it to verify.
• All I am referring leads to the Main Deflection Board which
includes some or Main power supply of the Unit.
Should you feel you can work or verify some, I can guide
you where to start from. you may need to open the back first
and have some Visual on the components.
• There are some images on the link I have posted above.
Only the part number for the Hor Out is not the same.
and the CRT Board., But the principle is the same.
a) basically it has to be acted upon by a supply voltage of at least 95V to work. sample picture http://www.fixya.com/support/r3704932-a_basically_it_has_to_be_acted_upon_by_aPlease have someone to help you ( measure voltages ),
if you feel you cannot work on these Circuits
And it may need a lot of patience working on these sets.
Those tips are for those who can possibly Measure
and check components on the TV Circuits to facilitate
faster and efficient way of troubleshooting without taking
out components on the Board to check.
Cause repairing a TV is dynamic.
