if it turns off in the same amount of time every time, and can turn right back on, check your sleep settings... it is a feature that turns the tv off for you.

Try by pressing "0, 0" by remote control. If it do not changes, there is no other way with select it by universal remote control.

The width of the picture is less than normal. It can be adjusted by entering in to its service menu options. But, entering service menu options and adjusting data values there is a skilled task. It will be best to contact any expereinced service techinician ot do this. Or Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Check this link and select the site. View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu at the left top corner or the display window. It will make search easy. If you are confident that you can do this, just proceed. If not, do not tamper the TV.

FIRST GREEN LIGHT WOULD COME ON. TOOK IT AWHILE BUT ITWOULD FINALLY TURN ON...NO NOTHING. IT'S GETTING SPARK CAUSE WHEN I PLUG AND UNPLUG IT AT THE SOURCE OF ENERGY IT SPARKS. FUSE IS NOT BLOWN

Hi,
The problem on your tv is the leaky electroltytic capacitor on the regulator section.
Replaced the capacitor on that area and your unit will be back to normal again.
If you don't have an experience in electronics find a qualified technician to do the job for you.

The codes for your tv are, 005,014,015,018,019,036,041,049,053,075,076,077,087,103,114,212,216,223,228,229,233,231,235,236,237,..turn tv on press and hold tv button till blinks,enter one of the numbers above,press power off, if tv turns off, that would be the code,..may have to repeat the steps with another number if not,...hope this helps...

You did not mention which input you attached the RCA cables to. If it was component it would be one selection, if it was composite it would be another. If you do not have your operations manual you can find the manual at http://www.retrevo.com/samples/RCA-TV-manuals.html Download it and starting on page 7 look at the diagrams they show for hooking up the DVD. Inspect your hookup and make sure it is correct. If it is then follow the procedure they give for selecting the device. Using this manual you should be able to sort out your problems. This unit has quite a few inputs but they all should be available on the menu. I suspect that you are looking at the wrong one. Get the manual and look at the pages that I mentioned. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Sounds like you have a bad picture tube. It would not be worth replacing.

Check the main fuse and see if it is blown. It should be a 4 or 5 amp 125v fuse. Thanks for using fixya.

I would check the set up menu of your cable,satellite receiver set top box, they usually have a format selection in the menu and it sounds like you want to set it for 4:3 ratio format, but just find that adjustment and play around with it until you get the picture to look as you want it.If you haven't allready also check your TVs menu for the same adjustments. yes. easy. you have a bad capacitor in vertical circuit. most common are the little red capaictors 2.2 microfarad. there is also a red capacitor 2.2 by the signal processor
