The optics assembly is shipped with a short across the laser to prevent static damage during shipping or installation. Make sure that you have opened up this short or the unit will appear like the optics are bad. The CD won't spin up unless a disc is detected which requires the laser to work.

Please keep up posted on your progress.

If the lens of you CD changer becomes weak then, you wont able to read discs that contains scratches or old discs..

Try using a good lens cleaner and try cleaning the lens, if you still have problem then you have to change the lens of your CD changer..This will solve your issue..

There is a problem with the laser pic-up assembly(eye) 1st,2nd, 3rd,4rth music/track are recorded on disc from the center to edge.As the laser moves toward the edge the laser can't read perfectly the stored data on the disc. possible cause:the disc is in figure of 8, the lens needs cleaning, the suspension of the laser assembly, poor recording speed, spindle motor and voltage fluctuation of VCC

I would guess that either the lens is dirty or the optics are starting to fail. Try opening up the unit and cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Keep us posted.

The problem with your amp may be with the power ON circuit. On most stereos that have a standby light the standby power source is still OK. When you press the power on button the standby light will go out and the stereo will power up(turn on) as you should hear the click of the power control relay. If the unit will not power up you should check the power control relay circuit and/or the main power fuse that protects the main power transformer.

measure the total length of the belt, and I presume it is square. approximate the thickness and contact turntableneedles.com, they have about 450 belt sizes in stock.
