Samsung flatscreen has no sound
I had the same problem and I finally got in touch with Samsung and they told me that it must be something with the satellite receiver or Tivo box I have connected to the TV, since the sound was working in DVD mode. I reset both DirecTV receiver and Tivo box and now the sound is working again. I guess I should have done them one at a time so I'd know which one caused the problem. But, give it a try, it might work for you, too.

Hello
SAP means Secondary Audio Programme. To cancel this, you have to get into the Minu of your TV, and surf through to get the SAP display window. There you have to set the SAP of OFF. For more details go to the user manual of your TV. OK.

Hi mike
To answer your question;
I took a look at your tv and there doesn`t seem to be a way to connect external speakers beside amplified(computer) speakers that accept optical audio input, and there not cheap(around 300$).
Which means that you would be better off buying a cheap receiver with optical input.
Of course the other way would be to physically go into the set and attach a headphone jack to the internal speakers so you could connect standard or amplified speakers to it.

18 Mo old Samsung CXM2785TP made high pitched noise and lost power
The high pitch sound could have been the flyback transformer. check the horzontal output transsitor if is gone the tranfomer is sure to be gone . Tranformers are varying in price are the transistors can also vary you could be looking at around 150.00 plus labour.

High-pitched noise when I turn on the tv
No I think your problem is the horizontal output transistor blew out an that was a result of the flyback transformer going out or blowing up.. Good Luck TO you.

Television has power btu no response to anything.
Unless you have a schematic, its going to be tough to troubleshoot as it sounds like a power supply problem, as these setsd are famous for that. Its most liky a filter capacitor oin a 9, 12, or the 18 volt lines and probaly took out the diode along with the capa as well as the fusable resistor. At this point , where your at, I would say cut your loses and get what you can for it. Good Luck and god bless. I have a brother in law that just came back from over there for the 3rd time. Hes is in the 82nd airborne or the 87th I dont remember. Oh and thanks for protecting us Americans

Samsung 55 TV White vertical patches?
It sounds like you might be dealing with backlight bleeding or an issue with the LED backlighting in your TV. This can sometimes occur over time due to normal wear and tear or manufacturing defects. If it started as a faint single brighter section and has now expanded to four, it's likely a hardware issue. While it may not be an easy fix, contacting the manufacturer's customer support or a professional technician would be a good next step to diagnose and possibly repair the problem. If you'd like, you can share the pictures for a more accurate assessment.

Samsung un55nu6950fxza TV
These LEDs are very susceptible to static electricity damage. What happens when they get zapped is a tiny threading fault starts in the LED crystal. The aluminum contact metal starts migrating into the crack, makes it wider and longer, and eventually goes all the way through the LED and shorts it out. When that happens, the metal overheats and burns out the LED so the entire string goes dead.
What this means for you is that the original LED may have been may have been zapped at the factory. The replacement strip likewise, or when it was removed from another TV (if it is a used part), or when you put it in. It should have been in anti-static packaging. You have to be very careful not to touch any of the circuitry on the LED strip, and make sure you ground your hand to the TV metal both before picking up the LED strip and right before connecting the strip to the TV. Better yet, use an anti-static wristband connected to the TV frame.
It is possible that the LED driver for that string is pushing too much current, but that's not likely. You would probably notice that part of the screen is unnaturally bright.
