How to remove rear cover samsung HLR6768W?

Possibility (one screw behind a piece of tape or other manufacturer icon) Also there are some with a couple snap together clasps that you have to be very careful to get open with small screwdriver. Be sure if this is a CRT television that the screw that fastens to the flyback transformer is out. Some also have a screw or three in the front where the power button, channel & audio adjustment are located. Just a few places and things you can check.

Hlr6768 Fans and Color wheel turns on full speed as soon as it's plugged in.

Whenever you attempt a repair and have new issues ( yours is a duzzey) stop and step back and look over what you just did.Possible reasons for this:A bolt of lightening struck and by chance just after you replaced the light engine--not likely.I would (serious note) BACK TRACK and remove it checking all cables and connectors are plugged in and in the right place--the whole engine in most of these slides in and it is easy to miss something or tangle some wires etc.the other two possible reasons are = the new engine has a defect, strange and odd but odder things have happened. The engine does communicate to other boards and anything you have already replaced is suspect.Hope you get it sorted out but likely it is man made--happened in the course of your adventures at trying to fix it.

Kook for failing capacitors in the power supply section and/or the audio sections of the TV (this is most likely a power board issue though)Triple check all cables to be sure of proper signal transfer and grounding. If any electrolytic capacitors appear to be bulging at the top, or bulging/leaking electrolyte at the bottom, replace them. The most common caps to look for will be 10V at 1000uF or 3300uF.

I have a samsung 67" DLP TV. The picture has

The image is generated by the DMD chip. This chip is controlled directly by the processor. The processor stores the basic data and the rendered image in a memory buffer before transmitting it to the DMD chip. That memory buffer is dying - there's a bad connection in it that fails when the chip heats. You can't fix that, the entire mainboard will have to be replaced. This is going to be very expensive - over $300 for the board alone - and very difficult to fix: the board will have to be ordered directly to a Samsung dealer and they very rarely accept to sell parts to regular customers so you will have to call a certified repairman.
It's probably time to start thinking about a new tv.

PS3 can not perform 1080P.

TV will automatically convert signal to 1080i ; it's all in the tvs chip.
There's not much difference really! If your not seeing any image and show no signal in that input;you will have to reset your PS3 and it should work...hope that helps!

Samsung 6768W DLP 2 yrs old Replaced lamp and now color is off Faces look like paint by number

possible solution:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1050735

  1. You may need to adjust the index delay after the replacement. You will be able to tell because you may see strange color banding in any scenes that have colors close, but not quite the same, in tone. This is usually most obvious in face skin tones (i.e. “clay faces”). If you need to adjust index delay, turn off the set, wait for the lamp to cool down, then hit mute-1-8-2-power in succession. The set should turn on with the service menu popping up eventually on the left. I don’t remember which submenu “index delay” is under, but find it and usually it will need to be lowered. I believe mine started out in the mid-50’s and had to be lowered to 47. These numbers are different for each Samsung model, so just adjust until the picture is pleasing to your eye. By the way, the supposed “correct” way to do this is to make the reddish part of the test color bar appear the “most saturated”, if you have a color calibration device.

Loud noise, line on the left side, no color

It sounds like the color wheel has fallen apart and will have to be replaced by a technician. The line could be from the color wheel or from the light tunnel. You can call 1-800-samsung for the nearest service center.

Sounds like a door switch is not making proper contact--or has been damaged. Check the lamp door switch and see if it is properly seated and the pin on the door is hitting the leaf of the switch.

You need a color wheel--common on these sets. Get a real phillips bulb and you should be set for awhile. The cheap generic bulbs are fine to get you through a few MONTHS....but NOT much longer. . An E22H-120/132 watt lamp is correct--and if you can replace just the bulb-(NOT hard at all to do) it will save you a LOT of money.
