There is a power supply that supplies the circuit board plus the lamp, because of hi power there may need someone to look at the circuit board and maybe repair it

no if the lamp works fine for hours , could be a signal problem check signal connection and wiring

It could be the color processor module, could be locked up, or your tuner is going bad. First thing to do is unplug the AC cord, from the the AC outlet for about 40 Minutes and that will reset the color processor. if you still have problems, then bypass the tuner, and go directly to the video input with a DVD player, or Video game player "360 x box" or anything that you can hook up to the video input. Make sure to put your TV in Video mode, if you have color now , than you have a bad tuner, if it is still black and white, than in is the color module that is bad, or your color control is turn all the way down.

A few questions: was replacement just a bulb or bulb with housing and was it OEM lamp from Samsung?If lamp light is still blinking the issue it has is there---other possible reason would be a ballast that is not bad but putting out low voltage to the lamp or the supply voltage to the ballast is low for some reason.Actually the set should if the lamp light is still blinking shut off the lamp.Also are you hearing any high pitched or fan like sound when the set is on?

The lamp is drawing to much current and it will get to the point that the set will not come on, the lamp needs replace, and you can go to partstore.com and get a lamp and instll it.That will take care of your problem

theas units have a comen problem of the color weel failing, first check the lamp then the wheel and all fans.

I couldn't decide whether or not to attack the IC Chips or the whole board, so I took out my S&W model 59 and pumped 11 9mm rounds into the whole chassis! Sets works as new as long as 'new' means comes with 11 bullet holes in chassis.

That problem is usually have 2 causes..Its either power supply board or main board..Please take this steps on how to determine the problem:1. Open the back cover.2. Check the power supply output...It should have 5vdc for the main board..12vdc or 16vdc for the audio and 24vdc for the back-light inverter..3. If those 3 voltage supplies have encountered voltage drop...The problem could be on power supply board..4. If the power supply output is normal..The problem could be on the main board...5. If the problem is power supply you should check if the capacitors are bulged on the top and try to replaced it..If you can't do that you can purchased new power supply board..6. If the problem is on main board there is no D.I.Y repair on that so you need to buy a new main board that fits to your TV..Hope this solution will be helpful..Thanks for using fixya...

Could be a slightly loose lamp connection and/or slightly loose lamp module - especially if you
have big trucks or railway tracks near your place (like me). Try powering down the TV set, use the
instructions that came with your TV to remove the lamp module, then simply re-install the lamp
module (also known as "reseating the lamp module").

If the buzzing noise persists, then
its coming from a component near the lamp (such as the power supply).
If there's a transformer in the power supply that's buzzing, then its about to fail.

That sounds like one of 2 things:

1. Color wheel
2. Light engine

Color wheel because of the losing color, but the light engine because of the picture freeze. It's very difficult to judge since I can't be there to see it. I'm leaning toward the light engine though. The only fix is to replace the DMD board, or entire light engine.

Yes,the lamp require changing,life span is over.

This could be caused by lots of things.

Possible causes that come to mind are.

1. TV is over heating -

2. Power cord not securely plugged in the wall outlet.

3.lamp door cover, which could trigger the auto-shutdown switch - you can fix this on your self by correctly resetting the door cover witch.

4.The power board is Malfunctioning

You may want a local company come out and take a look because it's difficult to pinpoint the cause without looking at it. You can find a local shop google tv repair in google maps, or call 800-SAMSUNG for an authorized technician.

you have a bulb gone i have the same problem

There are certain locks that hold the board either attached to the other boards or the chassis itself depending on where it got stuck. Please get me an image of the area where you suspect is the lock and I will tell you how to remove it.
