Panasonic Panafax UF-585/595 prints 5"
Hello,
It sounds like the fuser unit is on its way out. The cost to fix may out way the price of a new one. You should bring it in to a certified Panasonic repair centre to get a quote though. Fuser units are worth about $300. It could also be a failed toner. Try taking the toner cartridge out and gently nock it back and forth to free any stuck toner.

Where is the battery
The battery is above the display, next to a sliding blue lever.
Open the toner door, pull up the panel about 1 inch. Pull out the holder.

Hi there...we have an error saying paperjam -
When you removed paper from the machine, did it rip at all? If it did, a small scrap could have been left behind, causing the jam code. Depending on where the machine is located and who uses it, there might also be a foreign object lodged in it (like a staple or paper clip). If you think there is nothing in there causing the jam, try turning the machine off and turning it back on, and see if it still shows the jam.

Cant recieve faxes machine says check cassette?
remove the toner cart, cassette and rear tray and unplug the machine
set the machine on its back.
wad up a small piece of electrical tape and stick it into the black U shaped sensor on the left side.
the small tab on the end of the paper cassette is broken off, but you don't need it....just apply my fix.
