It sounds as through the paper jam sensor is either dusty so needs a clean, or the sensor has stopped working totally & needs replacing, if this item is still under warrentee I would call the company for the repair, if not a local computer repair company will be able to assist you further, most offer a free quotation service if you ask...

You need to clear the paper jam. Have you never had a jam before? I suggest that you download the manual http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/KXFL511.PDF and check the instructions on page 58-60 for how to clear a Jam.

Your error 43 refers to the fact that the fax you are calling does not answer. Talk to them and ask if their fax is set to "Auto Receive". its probably not.

Apparently the drum needs to changed, a clip is broken, the sensor is being blocked by debris from the cartridge or pieces of paper, a sensor fault or the unit needs to be reset.
