When the projector warms up
It is possible that your projector has the syncronisation fault in the video processor section. There is a possiblity that the chip is faulty or the corresponding allied cirrcuits have sprung up with some passive component weakness. What you can do is to open the set and warm up the areas near the main chip . Switch on the projector and if you notice the roll had stopped try do it to specific components and finally to the main IC .Replace when you are confirmed but attempt only if you are experienced or seek help to replace. Hope this helps. Good day

Projector SONY VPLCS!
I had the same problem with a Sony VPL CS1. It's not the mainboard, but the blue filter - cost to repair runs around $500 US.
Hope that helps.

Horizontal Green Lines!
Hi Tim
I've seen this many times. Only way to get rid of it is to replace the Mainboard.
This will get worse as time goes by.

No image when Windows loads up, image OK before the windows starts
Hi there
Check that your resolution on your PC matches that of your Projector.
i.e : If your Projector is XGA ( 1024x768 ) that should be the resolution of your PC as well.
To change your resolution on your PC simply right click on your desktop and go to properties and then settings. You'll see the resolution bar in the middle.

Sony VPL-CS1 projector
Hi there
You should first check if there is any visible damage on your lamp. If not then it could be a faulty Ballast ( lamp powersupply )

Both the LAMP/COVER and FAN/TEMP indicator lights come on, not blinking
with both lights solid. according to the manual all it says is (there is an electrical failure inside the unit, please take to an authorized servicer). if you are able to do this yourself you will need the schematics and a voltmeter to start testing your voltages. your lamp is fine so dont waste your money replacing that anymore. if you would like the service manual send me an email to
[email protected].
