hey guy's can you help me i was upgrading my psp from 5.03 gen c full to 5.50 gen d full and when the installion is completed it said reboot your psp or shutdown i click the reboot button and suddenly the screen was all black i let it stayed black for 10 minutes but it is still black the green light is working but the screen is black

try looking on eBay or amazon to see if they have a battery pack for the PSP

If you cannot format it via card reader on your PC, I'd say the card is boned and you should try returning/exchanging it.

Have you tried on another PC?

It could just be the screen send it to sonny for them to fix it or ask them for a new one

Oh this had happened to me so many times! In fact i fixed a friends one like this this morning.
You need to:- re-install your custom firmware. (Pandora's battery and all that) Then make sure your mem. stick is a pandoras one and start again tadah!
If you don't have custom firmware and would like it i can tell you ([email protected])

it can be a memory stick file system error. did you try another memory stick???????

sounds like you have a corrupted operating system. try to re-flash the firmware of your psp.

u can buy a screen for your model and just put it in, its take sum time and eaze but

Go to ebay or amazon, or your choice, a get a screen for your model,

then go to google and search how to replace a psp screen

It could also be due to one of the following reasons

• UMD cd is dirty, scratched or the case surrounding the UMD is broken
  
• Another possible problem is that the laser that reads the UMD is either smudged, foggy or broken.

First, try whether it reads the other UMD disk, if it works with other UMD disk then this disk might be the problem.
If not it might be a problem with the Laser, take a q-tip and clean it with that (do not wet the q-tip! leave it dry!)

• Finlay it could just be that a wires that was accidentally cut by any violent tosses or through (shooken violently)

if still u cant find he problem it might be that its too old or u need an upgrading your psp firmware to 6.00 version.This can be directly done from the sony support page and upgrading the firmware may improve your PSP performance and solve your issue

If still!.... then i suggest u you to take the PSP to nearest center and fix it.

if the psp screen is anything like a laptop it will have a backlight that lights up the screen what can happen is you can break the light and while you will still see things on the screen when you look closely but it wont be illuminated. i had a friend that dropped his laptop and smashed the backlight he sent it away and got it fixed i suggest you send it to sony to get it fixed

i have also the same problem with psp e1003. what is the connection of white display to the UMD, that the problem is with the lcd
