Depends on what you mean by adding music. If you want to just add music files then you can just get mini USB to USB cord and connect to your computer. You'll need to put your psp into USB mode first though. Once connected to your computer you can just drag and drop your files into your psp memory card. Thier should be a music file already created in the memory card. As for getting music from a provider like spotify then I'm sorry to say but that's not possible. You could try the radio app on the psp. I'm not sure if it is still working but it doesn't hurt to try.
Matthew, check your NAT type. For live games like GTA5, it needs to be set to "open" If it's type 2 then media is being sent, but blocked when coming in. Limited communication with the servers. It's usually caused by the wrong settings over a wireless connection. If you use a cat5 "hard wire" from your modem directly to your system, it should report back "open"
Cj, under the Dpad buttons are little rubber bumpers. These act like springs and provide the "off" force when you don't press the buttons. I would suggest a Dpad rebuild/repair kit from Ebay or Amazon. I'll put in a quick link to hopefully steer you in the right direction. ^^
OEM BLACK Slim SONY PSP 2001 Part Button Set Rubber
1)Connect PSP to computer with USB supplied with PSP.
2)Now, press "home" button on PSP
3)Scroll down menu to option "setting" using right and left directional buttons
4)When you reach the option "USB Connection", press X button to indicate your selection
5)The "my computer" window will now show a removable drive
6)Double click on removable drive to open it. You will see a folder named "PSP" inside it.
7)Open the folder "PSP" and see whether there is a folder named "Music" inside it.
8)If you cannot see the folder named "Music", then create it inside the folder named "PSP." Make sure to name it "Music".
9)Now simply and paste the music files from hard disk to the "Music" folder, just the way you would transfer files from a CD to your hard disk.
10)Once you are done, press the "o" button on your PSP. PSP will exit from the USB connection. Now unplug PSP from the USB data cable. Now you can carry around your music collection and listen to your favourite tunes, whenever you want. Enjoy!
You sure the games that you've downloaded are working properly & suitable for your PSP & your version?
Make sure that you have a folder called ISO in the root of your PSP. Drag & drop game files in there!
try dragging the files into the folder you want, instead of just copying them. because your psp is recognised as a mass storage device, it will copy the files onto the memory stick when you move it instead of physically moving it like it would if you moved it to a folder on your hard drive. good luck!
Dustin, this is happening because as a computer, the PSP and PS3 systems are very weak. For example; facebook runs flash videos, and they are constantly updating the flashplayer codex. However, SONY products will not allow you to update to the current Flashplayer because they are a third party participant. SONY believes if you can't watch it on their systems, than you shouldn't be watching it.(Personal opinion) My advice to you would be, for games and full movies, play them on your PSP. For online websites and social media, use a pc/mac/tablet. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Marco, It does sound however, that the battery took a **** at just the wrong time. It happens sometimes with no notice at all. Pull the battery and see if it's bulging in any way. The simple fix is to simply replace the battery. If this is the issue, it's fixed. If not, then you have a much bigger issue. With those generations of PSP's, the battery must maintain 3-5% charge to even turn on. You can't even update the firmware with out at least 20% in the battery! Frustrating, I know! ^^ Good luck, and I hope this helps.
maybe something on the inside is moved because ive openened a psp before and the thing in the back of the screen is like a hook that holds the screen shut. or maybe the little thing in your umd door that holds that little closing thing broke off. u can solve this also by hacking your psp and running the games trough the M33 driver. =D
