is there any sound at all coming from the toy? if there"s no sound try pressing the power button down for 30 secs without any powersource...after that place batts back in and try turning it on. if it doesnt work you may want to call their hotline

try usiing just the charger without the rechargeable batts...if toy turns on with just that then prob maybe eiither the toy itself or you need new rechargeable batts

the charge imdicator is suppose to blink when you plug the toy to the wall adaptor. if it doesnt blink then there's something wrong with either the adaptor, the adaptor port on the toy or the rechargeable power packs. now i said that the light is suppose to blink. but the frequency of the blinks shouldnt be fast. if that's the case clean the compartments and re-insert the batteries. if you are still having problems try the ff T/S:

1)remove the power packs, plug the toy to adaptor and turn it on. if it turns on that means your adaptor is working.
2)remove the adaptor and try using just the power packs.
3)try using 4aa batteries.

if the toy turns on with only one of the power sources stated above you better call vtech hotline.

The volume control does not work? I think this one is already defective and needs to be replaced.

have you tried calibrating the screen? You can do this by pressing the Home Button, question mark, and volume up button all at the same time. Turn the toy on without letting go of the other three buttons until you see the Touch Calibration Screen. If this does not help, then I suggest you call Vtech. Are you getting any error message when installing the Learning Lodge? To delete info on toy go to Settings>>My Name>>type R-E-S-E-T then tap the check mark on top right corner of the screen. Toy will turn off automatically if reset is successful.

Did you use the CD that came with the toy? uninstall it completely from your computer and download the link from this site: www.vtechkids.com/download. look for the picture of the toy that you have and click on it. then just follow the prompts from there.

Try recharging the batteries, or try using another powersource. if this does not resolve the issue then you may need to call their hotline

yes you can. Go to Downloads section on www.vtechkids.com. But in order to transfer the games into the toy, you need to connect it to a computer where Learning Lodge is installed.
