Try another disc in the DVD player and see if you get a picture on the screen if it works with another disc then there is something wrong with one of the DVD discs . Make sure even thought the wires are the same color that your car color code also matches the color code of the Head Unit if not stock radio then the color code would be in your cars manual book or find it online in the image section of the browser you are using or better yet just order your self the radio adapter for your cars model for that type of head unit your installing or troubleshooting in your case and make sure all wires and positive wires are hooked up properly because some devices will not work if all the wires are not wired correctly meaning left terminal to left and right terminal to right speaker and positive and negative wires installed correct as well.. When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

However, I strongly recommend you purchase an aftermarket "Renault-ISO/ISO-Alpine Harness Adaptors", which connects your Alpine unit directly to your vehicle's factory harness.

These ISO car audio harnesses can be purchased fairly cheaply online or at your local automotive car audio parts centre.
