Change thermocouple burners goes off

Thermocoupling is not set properly. approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the thermocoupling should be engulfed in the pilot flame. Best to use a meter and set the thermocoupling at approximately 30 millivolts. The pilot assembly and pilot oriface needs to be clean.

Flame is high on left back tube of Burner Assembly

The burners need to be removed, cleaned and inspected. Any obstructions on the burners need to be thoroughly cleaned with a wire brush. changing burners to different compartment and still having the same problem in the original chamber, could be a defective heat exchanger.

I have a Goodman gas furnance. The furmance kicks

Let's trouble shoot a few possibilities:

Can you confirm that your gas pressure/ supply is correct-- by lighting all of the range top burners at the same time-- Do they all light quickly, and burn to full height, without much of any yellowing at the flame tips? That should indicate you have god gas pressure and supply.

Now-- in the Oven itself-
When you light the BROIL burner-- does it's glow ignitor light up, and does that burner light off OK?

If it is only the main oven burner that is not lighting, are you able to remove the cover plate that covers it, and watch it light off? -- Any clues on whether or not the gas valve even open?

If NO gas flow, likely you need a new Main Oven Gas Valve-- Probably need to call your Gas Appliance service person.

Let us know if this helped

Heat not coming on carrier gas pack code 31

code 31 indicates pressure switch did not close or reopened during the heat cycle....1st thing to check is the inducer motor,,this is a small motor that turns a small blower wheel that draws the exhaust gases through the furnace and blows them into the vent pipe....1st locate the inducer assembly,,most easily identified by the small plastic fan blade that cools the inducer motor as it runs..1st turn off tstat and turn off furnace power switch..then turn on furnace switch, then set tstat to heat, set the temp above room temp by 5 degrees...remove the furnace front cover, locate the inducer motor,,if it isnt turning, but is warm or hot after a minute or so,likely the inducer motor is bad..if it isnt turning and isnt warm after 1 minute, then likely the main control board is bad,,not turning the inducer motor when it should,,,,,if the inducer motor is running,,then the pressure switch isnt closing,, could be a bad pressure switch but more likely there is a problem with the venting...some possible problems that would cause the pressure switch not to close in an 80% eff furnace [metal vent pipe] are: [1] a blockage in the vent pipe, base of chimney, dead bird at the furnace where vent connects to furnace or down inside the inducer assy, accessed by removing vent pipe from furnace....if all clear the chimney could be blocked up inside,,is the draft good when vent is removed from base of chimney?..if furnace is a 90%+ type [pvc plastic vent pipe],,then check the intake pipe at the furnace by removing it where it attaches to top of furnace..is the intake clogged with anything?..then check the intake and exhaust pipes outside for blockages,,including ice/frost/snow at the exhaust pipe outlet..

Goodman HVAC Package Unit

Cycling the external switch on the GMS series will not help you. That switch is for A/C only. At the unit found inside the house, remove the front cover. If there is a door switch, tape it closed. Now if the thermostat is calling for heat, the unit will cycle as you mentioned. When the unit does not start, check for a blinking light on the circuit board. After three unsuccessful tries, the light will blink a code (2 blinks then a pause up to 9 blinks than a pause). Make a note of how many blinks you see. On the reverse side of the access panel you will find a diagnostic schematic. It should tell you a fault code corresponding with your blinking. This will give you a starting point where to look. If the codes are not found there, check inside your owner's manual. Or you can call Goodman at 713-861-250.   Get back to us with those codes and maybe we can help you further.

Gms80703ana

There are some fairly simple things you can check on the furnace before you call a furnace repair technician. First check the furnace filter usually located where the return air goes into the furnace. If it is dirty, replace it. Check the drain hoses on the furnace to make sure they are not kinked or clogged. Next check the intake and exhaust piping to make sure they are clear. Watch the burners light to see if they are lighting across correctly, if they do not, have them cleaned by a repair technician. Hope this helps

I have a goodman that flashes 4 times.what do i look for

Sounds like an open limit switch. The limit switch will open due the furnace overheating. Few reasons: 1) Dirty air filter 2) Dirty blower wheel/assembly 3) Weak Capacitor 4) Improper airflow across heat exchanger.
