Apex apex tv

Just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here.

Red key on left corner and no functions work

It sounds like a lock or parent control has been engaged--go to the owner manual or Google---I suspect buttons on a remote engaged this feature--Apex may not be easy to find information on the internet but Google the model number with "locked" or "manual" (owner manual)>

Apex tv is locked up. The original remote is so

Maybe you can blow up a picture of the remote and see which button is function or you can order it. Here is the link:

Cant get tv unlocked. The

Since you have the original remote for the AT2002S, the Function key is the one at the top left (above 1) opposite the Standby button (TV On/Off). To disable the child lock, press and hold this key and then press Mute (second row from the bottom and the farthest right of the row).

This assumes that your original remote has merely lost the labels and the function and mute keys still function well. If it doesn't work, I'd recommend replacing the remote. Remotes.com has a substitute remote here: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=AT2002S&uuid=13102613381980 that should not need programming. If you click on the images, you will see a closeup of your original remote. Retrevo has a copy of the manual for the AT2002 with a similar picture of the remote and an explanation of the keys. See http://www.retrevo.com/support/Apex-AT1302-TVs-manual/id/524ci552/t/2/ . You will need to enter a code to view the PDF. The picture is on page 11 (page 13 of the pdf).

If you want to use a universal remote, you may need to try a number of codes to find one that matches the Function key. The low end remotes may not match the key at all. Those remotes that can be programmed via a USB connection to the computer will be the easiest to program.

I hope this helps.

I would like to know

Hello
If your Apex has a Menu button on its front panel you can unlock it by the following method. If not, you must have its remote control handset. To unlock it:

Apex TVs use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for many models is 6688. Other sets may not have one, or may have a default code of 1225 instead of an override code.

1. To use the override code:

2. Hit the MENU key to get to the menus.

3. Go down to the SYSTEM menu and hit the right arrow on the remote control.

4. Once in the SYSTEM menu, go to PARENTAL GUIDE. It will ask for your code.

5. Enter the override code listed above. From here, you can turn on and off different rating restrictions, as well as set a new code. No matter what the V-chip code is set to, the override code will still work. If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired Ok

Without its original remote control it is immpossibel to open its lock. Just try to get it from one for the same model amoung your relatives or from others, just to open the lock of your TV. If you can collect one, do the following with it.

Apex TVs use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for many models is 6688. Other sets may not have one, or may have a default code of 1225 instead of an override code.

  1. To use the override code:

OK.
