**** man, i have the same problem, sucks in video games where the objective is shown at the top of the screen and i can only see the bottom half of the text.

in my remote control there are 2 buttons: "F" & "mute" and to unlock the TV you just have to press bote on then at the same time

• If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired.

No. You can't save it as the default.

make sure the TV time is correct. Reset the time. if that does not work, but the TV operates ok, it's in the circuit board, or could be a fuse problem.

You can try to go to the remote control web site, they update the site every so often. Some remotes have a "code search" button, follow the instructions in the remote manual.

Try using the A/V jacks in the back and putting the channel to INPUT 1, 2, 3. Th cable you're using may not be correct, like the slide-on cable that would come with a vcr.

Check the cable that you are using. If it's a "single" shielded cable, it maybe letting in "air" frequencies, like you have an antenea hooked to your TV. Especially if you live in a city that has several Tv stations near you. The cable could be to old and has breaks in it, or not grounded properly.

You can try to use the "common code" - 0- all zero's. Unless you have an actual code that you have set up in the TV. Another way would be to unplug the TV for a day, or try to remove the fuse in the back.

I have seen this problem on a lot of TV's. It's caused by the picture tube. One or more of the wires have a break in it.

i think there is an option called music mode ....
so may be it is running in music mode check it....
if not then may be the tube is gone or may be some capacitor is burnt out or may be some wire connecting to display circuit board is in mis contact .. ....
just take your tv to technician ....
the technician will recharge the tube or he will give other solution for it ....
if you are good at opening then just open it and have a check whether any capacitor is burnt out...
if you are not good at opening or if you are afraid or if you dont have any idea then just take the tv to technician ...
any way it doesnt cost too much ...
