Have a rainbow e-2 that was running and quit.

Hi, there is no reset button on a Rainbow vacuum. There is a safety switch on all E series and E2 series Rainbow vacuums, that keep it from running without the water basin on it.

If you have any more questions let me know. I am a Rainbow seller, and a Rainbow expert also.

Thank you,
Ralph

Rainbow E Series Power Nozzle I'm not sure which part of it is not working?

The power nozzle brush roll bearings could be locking up from hair and debris wrapped around them. If that is the case, then the brush roll will be hard to turn and will cause the belt to heat up and give a burning smell. The top of my rainbow is broken can it be fixed?

Yes, the early version eSERIES on the Cap Cover Assembly was a disc that was glued into place. You can order the new design that is one complete piece so this problem will never happen again.

RainVac

www.rainvac.com

800-523-0510

How do i reinsert the black little chip on my rainbow vaccum e2 so it can turn on

The part that is sounds like you are talking about is the Interlock Plunger. This part is under the Right Baffle Plate Assembly. It works with the Interlock Switch for safety so the Rainbow will not turn on unless it is latched onto the water pan. Remove the Right Baffle Assembly and insert into the small pocket that the Interlock Switch is installed.

RainVac

www.rainvac.com

800-523-0510

My rainboe has no suction

The hose could be clogged. Check the suction on the main unit without any hoses connected. If that seems good, then connect a hose and check suction again at the end of hose. If suction is still good and you are having issues when using the power nozzle, then open up the bottom of the power nozzle to check for clog.

RainVac

www.rainvac.com

Belt stopped working

If your power nozzle has a circuit breaker, then it could be bad. The eSERIES PN2E power nozzle has had many issues with the circuit breaker going bad. If the light on top the power nozzle comes on, then most likely your circuit breaker is the issue.

On the PN2E and PN2 Power Nozzles, it is not necessary to use the circuit breaker. If you circuit breaker goes bad, just wire the leads together and use this hole cover to complete the job. Use a 5/16 drill bit to allow the hole cover to fit.

The electric hose has a trigger that you turn the power nozzle on and off so there is no need to have a circuit breaker. If you get something caught in the brush roll, just release the trigger.
RainVac
www.rainvac.com

How do I remove the pin on my Rainbow Vacuum Model SE clips?

When I used to repair Rainbow SE vacuums for a living, I had a long nail of small diameter that I had filed the end off of just for this purpose. The pin you need to remove is grooved on each end to "catch" in the plastic housing, but a slight tap with a hammer, using this "nail" will do the trick. When you're ready to re-attach it, just tap it again to put it back in place.

I am looking for a repair manual for this vacuum. Just stopped working and will not turn on. Can you tell me where to get a manual? Thanks

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Rainbow E Series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum. The best way to get a Rainbow E Series owner’s manual is to contact the Rainbow website and or factory and give them the model and serial # for the item and you may be able to download the manual from the website or the might have to mail it out to your home USPS. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

The Rainbow / RexAir Factory phone number is listed below:

Rainbow Vacuum, about 5 yrs old (bought new, no

Although a wet/dry vacuum, it cannot tolerate water in the motor. Water will cause the motor to short out, which will cause the motor to act/sound like yours does now, if it continues working at all.
To prevent additional problems, the vacuum needs to be taken to an authorized Rexair dealer for cleaning and repair. Expect at the very least to pay for a new motor and installation.
Problems like this are why I don't care for any wet/dry vacuums, especially spendy ones.
Oh, you should definitely discontinue use, and don't attempt repairs on your own. Special tools are needed, and if bolts and screw are rusted, breakage may result.
