A special tool is sometimes needed to open a Shark vacuum cleaner. If your unable to remove the bottom plate to clean the roller brush, take a utility knife and cut straight down on line in the brush (see picture).

Shark HEPA filter are made of fiberglass therefore can be washed with the others. 4. Check for clogs anywhere dirt can travel until it reaches the dirt cup.

Be sure the brush roller switch is turned on. Also the handle must be pulled back in order brushes to turn.

Shark doesn't do much as spares go . They expect you to purchase a new brush head unit complete . You can purchase a hose from eBay it won't be a shark part but it will be the correct size and length I done a few myself.

You have answered the question . It's the motor and it isn't available as a single spare part.

Push down on the handle until you hear a snap. This should re lock the lift away. Now try it again. The lock mechanism sometimes gets stuck.

You may have to change the batteries to make it work.. In the mean time just use it manually.....

The power switch cold be broken and not working.Check to see if the filter is clogged and check for a clogged hose or filter and unclog the hose and replace the filter.

If you pull it apart make sure the roller and the belt is free of debris. And I would check the belt to see if it broken or real loose. If so contact Shark and see if they will send a replacement . (It may cost a few bucks) At least this is a first start hopefully it helps?

Yes it is normal. Most all vacuum cleaners, around 10 amps, will blow out warm to hot air.

I am guessing that the motor has died on you and has stopped working and needs to be replaced. These types of vacuum cleaners last about 5 years and if you had it for 4 years and this problem is occurring then it is most likely a faulty vacuum cleaner here that you could of had purchased and you should buy a new vacuum cleaner. Costco sells shark rocket vacuum cleaners.

Check its resistance with a meter.
