It's allways best to check your User Manual for any LED signs, go to your providers website, input your device, and download if any manuals for it. there you will find what the trouble is. i presume that the bulb on your projector has gone bad. hope this helps!

go to the menu, find lamp settings then select, lamp counter resit. confirm.

I found the online manual and followed the instructions to set to "auto" input. Everything works fine.
It had been a discouraging ordeal trying to locate a new DVI cable (which came with the projector)
and as it turns out the 15 pin cable works fine. Thank you.

It may be that the lamp actually does need replacing so that may be why it's not coming on?

You will have to reset the lamp timer to resolve the problem.

Consult ypour user's manual on how to do this.

Does your projector still work?

The warning lamp is there to let you know there is a problem, usually overheating! Make sure it is well ventilated and that the filters have been cleaned.

Try disconnecting the AC power cord and then reconnect it to check if it is still happening.

You can overcome this problem by disconnecting the AC power cord, to turn off the power. Then press and HOLD the select button and reconnect the AC power cord.

This should clear the Lock.

Turn projector on and before doing anything else, press and hold the UP arrow on the machine for 30-40 seconds WHILE watching the display screen on the wall - the remaining hours will display only momentarily - if you look away you could miss it. Cheers

This would appear to be a bulb that has reached end of life -- or the projector thinks that it is because of hours. Usually most bulbs are 1000 or 2000 hours. Depending on your projector there are different ways of checking bulb life hours -- if you Google your projector model number and "bulb life" you will usually get a post on how to check these hours. Also, if it is a new bulb and you haven't reset the hours counter, it may need to be reset (however you also don't want to wait too long before changing a bulb that has reached EOL since they can and do explode sometimes taking out the projector with it).

1. Turn on the projector
2. Press the Menu button and the on-screen menu will appear
3. Press 3/4 button to remove the red frame pointer to the setting Menu icon
4. Press the 6 button to move the red frame pointer to the Lamp Counter Reset item and then press Select button
5. The message "lamp replace counter reset?" appears. Move the point to and then press Select button
6. Another confirmation dialog box appears and select to reset the Lamp Replace Counter

Being an old projector and possibly it has an old lamp fitted. The lamp as it ages produces more heat. The fans as they age unless cleaned regularly. This build up of heat damages firstly the blue LCD imager and then the red. Nothing can be done about that except replace the LCD imagers. As a Sanyo Authorised service department, we used to charge them out at £1031 plus fitting.
