Why is no power on the tv ?
Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Look like shadow and it
I have not repaired a plasma TV. As I understand, the plasma TV has a picture tube similar to those in older TVs. I have read about them, and have an authorization for two other TV manufacturers. The bulletins I have read described trouble shooting problems. Your TV may be exhibiting a blue or red hazing problem. This is most certainly describing a bad plasma screen. This problem is a common occurrence. Once again I have read many trouble shooting tips regarding this problem. Under warranty we are asked to replace the screens. If this TV is not under warranty, the cost will exceed the price of a new TV. Sorry, about your TV. You may opt for a second opinion, and please do so. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!
Hi, my Daewoo Plasma 42"
If the power light stays green then the current absorbed by the different boards appear to be normal. If that is the case then most likely you have a bad contact in the data cables or in the mainboard.
You will need to open the tv, inspect for damage and reseat all the components then (if that doesn't fixes it, you will need to extract the mainboard and check the soldering on the board and the status of the processor.
Broken glass on plasma tv
The glass is part of the screen. It will probably cost more to buy the part than a new TV would cost.
We have a 42" Daewoo
It is the Y buffer boards that are bad, and you probably will have a problem getting parts for the TV, and the age of the TV I would buy a new one, because, if one thing gets repair, there probably will be something else that will go out, and prices have really went down. Get a new TV , take care.
Can i use a philips 42
If you have a computer all you need to do is purchase a HDTV tuner card for it and install, This will not only let you use it as a TV but still allow you to use all your computers native features. Also most tuner cards come with remotes which make the deal even better.
I have a 50 inch plasma TV that the screen is in
Hi,
You mentioned that the screen is in pieces? If i am to assume that the TV screen itself has shattered then the cost of replacing it will be astronomical.
A 50 inch plasma screen is not something that you can pick up on eBay for a cheaper replacement. This forces you to go straight to the manufacturer and when you hear what it would cost you would in no doubt be shocked as it will be cheaper to buy a new TV.
The only other way is to look for an identical faulty unit that you can take the screen from, and even then you will have to have a qualified engineer to do the job as plasma's need to be gassed when the screen if fitted.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Regards.
