Hello, there are so many reasons why your TV won't bring out sound. You need to troubleshoot first, in order to get to the root of the problem, before a solution can be proffered. First, connect a DVD player to the TV, observe if there is going to be sound. If there is still no sound after connecting the DVD player to the TV, proceed to the next step. "The reason why I asked you to connect a DVD player to the TV is to confirm if the problem is simply not from the audio cord connected to the TV." Second, get an headset, connect it to the earphone jack of the TV and observe if there is going to be sound. If there is no sound, then it is glaring now that your TV is having a defective sound card/IC that's why it is not bring out any sound. (Note that connecting an headset to your TV is optional because not all TV's has a space for headset). "The reason why I asked you to connect an headset to the TV is to also confirm if problem is not from the TV speaker. Though TV speaker problems are rare but sometimes, the TV speaker might be defective or the speaker wires may have loosed contact or cut into two, due to one reason or the other. your gonna need a converter box to go from coal to r.c.a. plugs. cost about $20. your local hardware store should have it.

There are more than two methods of hooking up the DVD player.
1) Get a 5pin component cable with Red, Green & Blue pins. Connect the DVD Player's RGB out pins to the TV's RGB in socket. This will take care of the picture. Then for sound you will need the second set of Red & White cable. Connect the Red & White pins to the DVD players audio out socket (Red for right channel and White for Left channel ). The other end of the cable you can connect to the Red & White socket next to the RGB socket where you have connected the Video. Play a DVD and scroll through the inputs slowly. You will see the picture appear on one of your selections.

The display panel is bad. Most likely too costly to replace the panel. Replace the tv.

your dealing with what i suspect to be a y sus board problem replace that board and it will fire right up. make sure to check and change voltages as needed when changing any part in the tv. you may also consider purchasing a new tv if the price of the repair comes close to 400. new plasma at walmart online 399.00 free shipping

That happened to my new plasma TV 30 days after i bought it and the TV repair guy came an fixed it and i saw what he did and he told me that there are 3 circuit boards in back of TV and each one controls their areas, center circuit board was controlling the center screen of my TV which was where the lines were so he replaced it and the lines were gone. this board are usually on the bottom part of the TV and they look alike but they are not due to the connection location., i hoe this help

Have you checked your power outlet and are you sure every thing is plugged in correctly for one for two are there any other signs that may help us help you does the power light come on or no. Have you tried a different outlet.And we will need a model number and a manufacturer RCA,ILO,Visio ect. Model number is on the back of the TV and will tell you the size.

could b flyback transformer, hard to tell with out benc testing , no power is cheaper to fix than picture problems and normally a lot less God Bless
