Sharp AR-407 Copier Questions & Answers
Sharp Copier AR -407 Error code H3-00
H3-00 means there was a problem in the fuser unit of the copier - a temperature problem. The correct temperature is not reached within a certain time.
It could be a thermostat or thermistor problem - both monitor temperature. you could remove the fuser unit and make sure these items are clean - no build up on them. there should be a center and side thermistor.
You can reset the error code in SIM mode by pressing the following keys one after the other "P" "interupt" "C" "interupt" then 14 and start/copy key. confirm if required. make sure the copier is restarted afterwards.
If the error persists then you may need new thermistors.
Hope this helps.

My copier needs developer. i would like to know
On the AR-407:
To remove the developer/toner cartridge, there is a green lever inside the front door/cover. Pull it down like you are going to refill the toner, pull it out, and there is a release lever on the right side bottom, between the cartridge and the copier. This will release the cartridge and allow you to slide the whole mechanism out.
There are 4 screws that hold the toner box onto the developer. (NOT THE TOP MOST COVER SCREWS) 2 on the left side (with the toner hopper on your right), and 1 screw on the right top, and 1 screw on the right side by the handle you use to pull the cartridge out of the machine. Make sure you also disconnect the electrical connector that attaches to the hopper motor.
Be careful not to spill the toner or developer as you are seperating the two.
The developer unit is the bottom unit.
Dump out old developer (make sure you get all of it by turning the gear on the back side). If you don't have a toner/developer vacuum, then just get as much out as you can. A normal vacuum motor will eat itself in a very short time trying to vacuum up toner or developer, because the particles are too small for a regular filter.
When you get all the developer out, then carefully open the new developer packet, and evenly pour it in. Put it back together the same way you took it apart.
Reset Developer counter : Simulation 24-5
Hope this helps!!
