I looked it up in the manual and it says that the copier is locked. Actually its a 1645CS. I unlocked it, turned it off and back on again but I still get the same error. The copier barely starts up and quickly locks up.
there is a locking dial under the left side of the machine that maybey holding the scanner in home position.... be sure its unlocked.

my copier stopped making copies, changed the cartridge but all I get is blank copies. what is a corotron wire
It sounds like the wire that charges the drum has broken or has a bad connection. If the drum does not get charged it will not attract toner and therefore blank copies. As i do not know the make an model of your machine I cannot give you further information.

I have a Sharp XE-A21S cash register and I want to reset the GT, Tried Everything, the #GT is showing was from the guy who programmed it how to I get this value to 0 I dont want to declare 1500$ GT when we did not make that can uyou Help
Easiest way to erase memory is remove batteries and unplug from power.Resets to factory defaults.

Did you replace the thermistor? check the thermofuse also for continuity

Replaced the drum and do not know how to reset the counter to 0.
USING ONE FINGER PRESS CLEAR, AUTO(EXPOSURE SETTING), CLEAR & AUTO YOUR DISPLAY WILL GO BLANK, IF IT DOESN'T GO BLANK TRY IT AGAINSOME MACHINES ARE TEMPERMENTALWHEN YOU GET IT GO BLANK PUNCH IN 24 THEN PRESS THE START KEY THEN PUNCH IN 07 AND THEN PRESS THE START KEY AGAIN. THAT WILL RESET THE DRUM COUNT. TO GET OUT OF THAT MODE PRESS CLEAR A COUPLE TIMES OR TURN IT OFF & BACK ON

installed a new drum and the drum light will not go off. I understand there is a reset code. Also this 2040cs does not have a keypad.
c - auto - c - auto - (machine is off) 24 - start - 07 - start (000 blink) - 4x botton c . Finish ok.

Your copy lamp is faulty or scanner drive is not moving. Check the lamp and replace if not lighting.
If its the scanner, unlock the scanner lock above the paper exit tray.

error E16 RISO GRAPH CR1610
E16 indicates a motor lock with the inking motor. Disassemble the ink pump unit and check for proper rotation of the inking motor itself. This error is caused by a current overload.
Also, remember to try powering on the machine while holding down the reset key to clear all error codes first.

My copier is showing a H 4 code that keeps flashing how can I reset
The H4 code indicates the fuser may have blown the thermistor. It also could be a false error code. Try this series to clear the error and if it returns, then you'll know for sure the fuser is the culprit.
