If the round red light you describe is a circle of dots that indicates a developer change is due. This needs to be done by a technician but the machine should work fine without doing the developer change.

The problem it in exposere lamp section.The forward scan is not compelet.Cause is the mirror motor control board or mechanical parts.

If your copier front or right cove is not attached properly then CH on standby, or CH is blinking/flashing may be your copier TD unite is not adjust or close.

Hi there. Ok, open the door on the right side of the machine. You should see a unit and feel a lot of heat coming from it if the machine has been switched on. If you pull the black flap toward you it will reveal two rollers, a metal one (upper) and an orange one (lower). It's likely that one or both are damaged, this unit fixes toner to paper and if there is a scratch in the upper roller or a groove in the lower one, it will cause the symptom you describe. A qualified engineer could replace these though if you want to part with a bit more cash you may get a complete fuser unit for the machine which is relatively straight forward to change if your feeling adventurous. yes, this piece is from inside the drum unit. I just had the same issue, but luckily had another drum already for comparison from a different machine...

Are you talking about the light inside near the drum (the laser) or the maintenance light?

It sounds as if the paper is jamming in the fusing unit, which is where the heat roller melts the toner into the paper. This can be due to the heat roller starting to go bad. If it looks like there is toner build up on the roller, or if the teflon coating is starting to wear off, this will happen. Also make sure that the little fingers that ride on top of the heat roler, which prevents the paper from sticking to it, are seated correctly. The fusing unit may need to be replaced, or rebuilt.
