F2 Fault Code On Heating Pad

I am trying something now as I was told F2 requires you to check the blanket for wear and tear and plug it back in. 3 times doing this should be sufficient. If it still reads F2 it's "gone" Ours is new so it shouldn't be "gone" but here's what I found...Where the plug goes into the blanket there are 4 holes for 4 silver pins. I noticed the 3rd pin was a bit lower than the other 3. It will not move up with pliers so don't force it just return it. check there

I have a Dunlap heating Pad 27415ong with auto shutoff that the off button keeps flashig red...

The auto shutoff function may have failed and the blinking may be indicating the fact.

How to get imprints from a heating pad out of the sofa? Vacumning did not do it, it also did same to sofa throw pillows. Material is a brushed microfiber gray in color

F1 error on heating pad

Unplug & then plug in... will help for a little while, but the F1 will return. Sorry.

I just got my new

As its new I would recommend you to get use warranty and get it repaired/replaced. However, if you still want to do this yourself then pull out the main wire box located inside the pad and then take it apart and use hair dryer to dry the electronic control board, this should work, however remember that opening it will void the warranty. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Flashing f2 message

This means that the controller for the heating pad has a short. Water will cause the controller to short out. If water is spilled on the controller you can unplug the cord and take the controller apart and use a hair dryer to dry the controller out. If no water has been spilled on the controller you can take it apart to make sure all of the wires are still soldered in place.

My control mechanism has error message F1 now F2

My electric blanket had the same message and I could not find anywhere to answer question. Sunbeam said to look on th cord tag and this was no help. I finally pulled out the main wire box inside blanket and took apart to see if there was anything obvious. All solders looked fine but then I noticed a drop of water. Used a hair dryer to dry the electronic board, reassembled and it worked. Must have been a water short.
