The noise MIGHT be a resonance in the cabinet. The way to find out is to sweep a frequency upward to see if something rattles at certain frequencies... Don't be surprised to find several. Within the cabinet are the usual culprits: Wires rattling against the cabinet, loose debris, grilles and the logos on them, circuit boards with crossover hardware, cabinet wood that is not glued and rattles against itself. Things like bass port tubes can rattle.
Find an audio generator and sweep the cabinet from 50Hz to 10KHz and you will be surprised. Some speakers may have resonances as well. Expect things in your room to start rattling as well.
This is really the only way to find the problem. PLEASE wear hearing protectors at levels above 90Db.

In the USA, JBL G730 cabinets come with 1/4" connectors instead of Speakons normally. Either way, the switch on the rear of the cabinet on the crossover is a pad for the horn which lowers it's output. Normal is the middle position, upper the horn is louder, lower the horn is softer

I'd have to know the make and model mixer to properly advise you. In general, if I were you, I'd come out of the L/R mixer outs to the JBLs and run the sub from an aux send set to post faders. However, I would suggest getting a different sub. That one will not keep up with the eon's. You would probably need 4 of them to get close to matching.

An acoustic guitar, unless it is an electric type, will need to be played near a microphone in order to provide a signal for the sound system and the microphone or the guitar will have to be connected to a compatible amplifier input. Impedance matching is not so important unless high quality is required but matching the sensitivity or gain of the input to the output of the source is important for optimum performance. A moving coil microphone has an output of just a few millivolts and a crystal microphone can produce an output of around one volt.

The connections are pretty straight forward, but it will depend on what amplifier you're driving them with. Normally, I'd connect the two TR to one side of a stereo PA amp and the two MR to the other side. All four cabinets are rated at 8 ohms, so running tow parallel per side would give you a 4 ohm load on each channel which would be a common load for most stereo PA amps. However all this would depend on your gear and what you need to accomplish. If what your question really meant is how do you connect all 4 to one channel, you can't as in most cases the total impedance would be too low and you'll fry your amp. If you use 1/4 inch cables they MUST be TRS cables (balanced lines). Guitar cables that do not have the third contact (ring) will have buzz and hum. Use either XLR or TRS cables. Also power the speakers and mixers from the SAME receptacle as the speakers.

If the fluids actually wetted the cones they should be replaced. Humidity probably would not damage the cones if they dried out before use. If the cabinets are badly stained the units should be totally REPLACED at the insurance expense. For musicians, the appearance of equipment is important as well as operation. Stand your ground... and do NOT use them as that shows some value that they would even operate after this situation. If they won't replace, threaten loss of income recovery as well. Be tough...

The speakers are rated 250 Watts. Driving with 600 Watt amps requires one to be careful of how much the volume is turned up to avoid damage. You MAY have damaged more than just the compression drivers on the horns but the voice coils on the 15 inch speakers as well. Further use could also damage the amplifiers. You did not mention what brand amps and it is possible they have a problem.

You best replace the units with ones rated for the power of the amps as restoring them on short notice for a gig is not practical.

The most likely case is that one of the main output transistors (if which there are many) is shorted. When the protect circuit senses DC on the final output, it will not allow the output relay to come on to protect the speakers from raw DC. With the power removed, you can check between each outputs Emitter and Collector and you will probably find close to zero ohms. From that point you need to unsolder each of the pins of the bad channel until you find the shorted device(s) and replace them.
