Does this opener have intellicode opn it? if so it can teach itself the code. What excactly are you wanting, are you needing to find out what the code is on the opener to program the remote? Is your opener a Genie model also? I also need the model of the remote to find the coding info on this.
This is from Genie themselfs. ( Remotes manufactured after 1996 should work with your Intellicode® opener. Pre-1996 remotes use fixed-code sequencing and are not supported by Genie® Intellicode® technology. If you are unsure about when your controller was manufactured, contact us, your local Genie® retailer or your local Genie® ProTM dealer.)

The code for the opener is on a dip switch set under the light bulb lens on the opener unit. Remove the lens and the switch set is usually located on the left as you look at it. It's either a 9 or 12 switch set. Match the numbered switches on both the remote and the receiver, and it should work! Oh, and make sure the battery is fresh.

Find your user manuel. If you do not have it type in the system you have into Google and put "user manuel" after it. (i.e. Genie user manuel) Look in the table of contents under the troubleshooting section and follow the steps listed. The exact panel type should be searched for Genie...then there should be some model number.
