Zing Ear ze208s switches are NOT all the same - the actual switch wafer on the back varies significantly. Some are single-pole making contact with 1, 2, 3 one at a time, others make contact in combinations. Like L123 for high, L1&2 for medium, and L1&3 for low. The number stamped in the center of the back may indicate the difference. I have one with a "4" that is one-pole at a time, and another that is a "21" and makes multiple contacts at a time.

The globe is held on by three metal tension clips holding the globe to the base. To remove the globe, you need to pull down on the globe gently but firmly. Try pulling down on one side and then the other, sort of "wiggling" the globe off. Getting the globe back on can be a bit of a challenge, calling for you to get all three clips aligned in place before pushing the globe back up. A little patience and the job will go smoothly.

the third wire should be for neutral (White) This is an incomplete request,
Is this a three wire pull switch or are you hooking up to a light switch on the wall.
but what I know is Black hot
Red switch
white neutral
