You should find your MP3 player on your PC as a Removable Disk when you connect it to USB port. sometimes it asks for a driver. If they sold you it without it, actually you don't need it. It should find the driver by itself and stat up.
If you can't see that external or removable dik, yuo got a faoulty produt or you have a bad USB port. Chech if your port is working, change it to another port, but if still nothing, your player has a failure in it's USB outlet. Take it to check for warranty

This means that your unit is defective and is no longer working. The hard drive is bad.
I have bought 3 of these players. All of them worked for a while then had the eventual face/bug on the screen after turning the unit on. When the customer service number DID work, they said that the unit was defective and to return it to the store and get another.
This happened to me, like I mentioned, with 3 different units.

Try removing the battery completely for about 1 minute, then put it back in then try to see if doe shte same thing. Insert another comment on this post and I will respond. Cross your fingers.

Claim on the warranty irrespective of how long you have had them. They charge $180 but they cost them $20 to buy from China. Package them up and send them tracked and ask them to replace the batteries.

My roadking rk4000 wont charge. I turn it off to charge it but there is no indicator light at all, any suggestions?
Are you using the charging cables that came with it? That is a type C. Are you securely attaching the charging cable? A loose connection would keep the battery from charging. If you had a low battery, you would see a red light. That you have no light at all suggests there is no charge left in the battery. I'm not sure the reset will work with no charge which is why you ought to check the cables first.
But turn it off and then hold down the Multifunction button for 10 seconds to reset it. Then turn it back on and see what happens. If you can, test the charging cable on aother device. If you have another type C charging cable, try it, just to eliminate a bad cable. If these suggestions don't work, you may try the manufacturer's customer support.
