What is an apple key

The "Apple" key is a "modifier" key on Apple keyboards. It is also referred to as the "command" (cmd), or "cloverleaf" (?) key. Like the "control" (ctl) key under Windows, its function is to shift the mode of the keyboard from printing characters to triggering commands such as "Undo", "Cut", "Copy" or "Paste".

Viewing videos

There are several reasons that this might happen. The most obvious is that the videos are encoded with a later codec or container format that was never available under OS 9. You might still be able to find transcoding software that can translate the files into a format that can be read under OS 9, but that becomes more difficult as time passes and support for older, less secure codecs is dropped. Less obvious is if the OS 9 install has been designated as a Classic environment or so-called "Blue Box". While such System folders can remain bootable, there are fundamental changes made to the OpenTransport extensions such that they are no longer fully functional in stand-alone mode. OpenTransport was not just for networking, but was also very much involved with multi-media functions under OS 9 and QuickTime. An excellent resource for vintage and obsolete Apple systems and software is Low End Mac . Not only does it include archived material dating back to 1997, but also has an active community and sponsors several mailing lists on particular models and OS versions.

Well, there are a variety of reasons that can consequently drag down the performance of your Mac. Meanwhile, there are certain ways through which you can considerably speed up your Mac machine. Mac slow downloads

If you have slow downloads, you have an internet problem. Call your internet service and talk to tech. support and get them to run a diagnostics check to ensure you are receiving the fastest speed. You might find that you are running at max mps and therefore would need to up your service connectivity package.
also, if this just happened without explanation (meaning, it was working fine before), then check to make sure you don't have a splitter that hooks up your cable tv and your internet with the same cord. If you do, your splitter is probably gone bad and you need a new one.

If you have your Mac OS X Install Disc then boot from it by inserting it into the computer and holding down the "C" key at startup. Then use the "Reset Password" utility from the "Utilities" section of the menu bar.

Hope this helps, don't forget to vote. Thanks.

Ok, in this case if while you boot up the computer that tells you the Optical Drive (assuming it is a cd or dvd disk) is bad. If what you used was a floppy disk, then disconnect the floppy drive from the computer but first disconnect the power. If, by the way, when you had that problem, you were trying to do some stuff inside the computer while the power cord was connected, you might have fried the motherboard. Good luck, anyway.
