Apple Mac OS X Server for Mac Questions & Answers
I was using apple laptop
You should never format a hard drive without first figuring out if you can rescue it with recovery software. If it has a recovery program on disc or flash ..you will have to switch the bios to boot from one of the drives and reload with the recovery disc or flashdrive. It may also has a hidden partition which will allow you to run in safemode to fix the probelm.
Start up my mac and it keeps giving me a flashing
It may be that the harddrive is not set as the boot device any longer.
Follow these steps:
- Turn on, or restart, your Mac.
- Immediately press and hold the Option key. After a few seconds, the Startup Manager should appear. The Startup Manager scans for available available volumes.
- Use the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard to select the volume you would like to use.
- Press the Return key on your keyboard to start up the computer from the volume you selected. Because this change is temporaryyou will need to set the default startup volume for your Mac after your computer is running, open "System Preferences" and choose "Startup Disk" from the "View" menu. (If this does not resolve this issue please messageme again)
Is there any free updates for my mac 10.5
Apple stopped supporting OS X 10.5. Upgrades are only $20 to 10.7.
If your Mac has 10.5, Lion, 10.7, is probably as high as you can upgrade. I would check either eBay or Amazon, as I've seen Lion disk sets selling for less than $5, then $4.95 shipping (or less on eBay).
All the best to you,

Need advise on slow running Mavericks?
Did you check hard drive space? You drive may be running out of much needed free spaces. You can check by About This Mac through Apple Logo. Also I would recommend to run Disk Utility Verify/Repair disk in order to fix any error on the drive. You should download Stellar Speedup Mac software to clean & optimise Mac hard drive for free. You can remove plenty of junk data from the startup drive. You can download from here -
Stellar SpeedUp Mac
Try to keep at least 25% of hard drive free for OS X operations.

Update 10.58 to 10.68
must use system disc. Cannot upgrade across platforms. must use 10.6 disc then update software from there. There is no way to go from 10.5 to 10.6 without installing 10.6 from disk

Download free mac os x 10.5.0 full version
nope. ebay. can only download updates or upgrades within OS. Not full system. Check for yourself and see if you can find 10.6 full download or 10.7 or 10.8 or anything. Only find updates. No full OS dl online.
Amazon or craigslist or ebay best bet
