By pressing the system monitor button the machine will display the jobs in memory.Scroll and select job you want to cansel and press ok.

By pressing the menu button left of the LCD display,scroll to usersettings press ok.Scroll to volume settings press ok and change volume levels there.

On the controll panel there is a diamond shape picture with a eye in it.press that bottom and clear the fax that you received.There is no other way.You will have to phone the sender and ask them to change the papersize settings on the fax machine.

Could be a noisy toner cartridge.
Open the door, remove the toner cartridge, and close the door again. If the machine does a few seconds of motor running with no noise, then that is the cause.
Not usually a major problem, just nuisance value.

Press Stop/Reset Key and press left and right key(+/-)to resume receiving the Fax

in this case I think you not choice the correcte paper if you make print from the computer go to the printer and try to choice a corect size paper ( A4)

It most likely is the LIU (Line Interface Unit). or you might have it plugged in the wrong port on the fax itself. Make sure it's plugged into the LINE plug. If it's the LIU it would be cheaper to replace then calling for service. Unless it's under warranty still (usually 90 days)

In a case like yhis your best bet would be go to the manufacturer on line or call them, with model and serial numbers and you should be able to get manual. Also if you explain that manual was missing when purchased they may send it to you free.

Starting on page 4-8 and continuing thru step 3 on page 4-9 will allow you to setup the mp feeder for legal size paper on your Faxphone L170.

If the memory if 100 % full on the LCD display then you have to reset the fax machine in the service mode
You can enter the Service Mode with the following operation.

Menu #

scroll down to

#12 CLEAR

all.....set

The operation that is carried out when the memory clear list cannot be printed can be altered by changing the
setting of SSSW SW02 bit 0. In the service mode as well.

u have bad contact in heater unit

The faxTel mode is for connecting a external telephone to the fax.Rather set it for Manual or faxonly mode.

Make sure that the phone cord from the wall to the fax is plugged into "Line" and not "phone" .

Sorry, but, no...facsimilie machines have memory, however this memory is reserved for error conditions only (ie; out of paper, out of toner, out of ink, paper jam,etc.......) Unfortunately, if all faxes that were sent, were able to be recovered, it would take over a terra bite (or Tb) hard disk drive to "remember" or save these documents.....If you need the same document(s)...I would suggest that you ask the person to fax it (them) back to you.
