I have the same problem with my printer. New batteries no corrosion not used very much and will not turn on. Did you ever find an answer that worked?

Your cassette tape has probably become unthread. Take the cassette out of your handheld printer. Make sure that the tape is fed under both claws on each side of the tape. If the tape is only under one claw, your label will not be flat and will only print the bottom half of the letter on your label.

There may be a small piece of label cutting stuck in the gears. remove the label cartredge, you will see a white gear set between the pinch wheel and the print head. Use a micro drive or something strong and give the gears a little help while pushing the print button. You may have to do this several times. Be careful not to use too much force as this may knock a tooth off. Good luck. My Dymo continues to print prefet labels.

Yep, same thing happened to ours. It would reel the label tape through and sound as if it were printing but nothing would show up. We replaced the batteries and it works perfectly again.

not easy to fix its dirty contacts on the lcd can be cleaned an reassembled but not worth it unless your techy nerd like me.

If you have a DYMO LETRA TAG XR:

Press SHIFT + B key (simultaneously)
Choose 1 / the first option (no border)
Press ENTER key

I shuffled the batteries round

Then reset it (see above link and YouTube video on that web site)

Then put Duracel 2400 mAh rechargeable batteries in and it worked perfectly again!

Change the font size on the computer prior to printing.

Put in 4 new batteries - works like brand new!

A manual for such a machine (you don't have a specific model) can be found here ( http://download.dymo.com/dymo/user-guides/LetraTag/LT100H/UG/LT100H_UserGuide_en-US.pdf ) There is a Num Lock key (a padlock outline and '1 2 3' ) on the key. There are keys that have auxiliary numbers beside them. Toggle on the num lock key and then try pressing the key with the number beside it. Should work now :-) Good Luck!

I was having the same problem. When you load the tape make sure to push it through the slot just in line with the white lever that sticks out of the left side of the machine.
