i want to know how to calculate in calculator "casio fx-991ms" fx-991ms" to calculate log value
In any scientific calculator log2(n) can be calculated with either ln or log function as
follows
Log2(n)= ln(n) / ln(2)
Or
Log2(n)=log(n) / log(2)
both will give nearly the same answers

how do I calculate the mod function in my casio fx 100ms model
It seemed there is no Modulo function in fx-100MS. But Mod is just the remainder of a division operator.
So if you have A mod B = C, divide A by B, subract the remaining whole number, and multiply it by B to get C.
Example:
7 mod 4 = 3
In the Calculator:
7 / 4 = 1.75, then 1.75 - 1 = 0.75. Then 0.75 x 4 = 3

how to get a Casio out of rounding mode
Press the MODE key a certain number of times, until you reach a screen that displays FIX SCI NORM and numbers 1, 2, and 3 under them. Press 1 key to select the FIX display format, then enter a number between 0 and 9 to set the number of decimal digits you want to keep in your result. In your case the calculator is already rounding so you should select a reasonable number of digits say 2 to 3.
MODE (a certain number of times ....) 1 (FIX) 3 will keep three decimal digits in the results.

how to solve a quadratic formula using a casio fx-300 MS
Hello,
The calculator does not have a solve program, but you can still use it to solve the quadratic equation with a little effort. If you know the therory skip toward the end.
Let aX^2+bX+C=0
1. First calculate the discriminant usually called Delta and given by
Delta =b^2 -4*a*c store the value in the variable D
If Delta is positive you have two roots X1 and X2 given by
X1=(-b+square root of Delta)/(2*a)
X2=(-b- square root of Delta)/(2*a)
If Delta is equal to 0, X1=X2=-b/(2*a)
If Delta i negative, no real solutions exist
You only solve if Delta is positive or equal to 0.
Putting in the values of a, b, and c
value of a (put you number) [SHIFT][STO] A
value of b (put your value) [SHIFT][STO] B
value of c (put you value) [SHIF][STO] C
[ALPHA] B [X^2] -4[x][ALPHA] A [x][ALPHA] C [=]
Value of delta is displayed. If it is positive, you store its square root in D
[Square root] [ANS] [SHIFT][STO] D ;
Calculate 1/(2*a) and store in variable F
1./(2[x] ALPHA A) [SHIFT][STO] F
To obtain X1
[ALPHA] F [x] ( (-) ALPHA B + ALPHA D ) [=]
To obtain X2
[ALPHA] F [x] ( (-) ALPHA B - ALPHA D ) [=]
Be careful: the (-) is the change sign not the regular minus sign.
Hope it helps.
