you have a bad lamp or balast

UNPLUG THE TV. then remove the back & you should be able to see up to the speakers.

Sounds like your light engine may be dirty or just faulty. You might try taking a dry rag and cleaning the lens on the light engine. If you decide to replace it or send it someplace for repair the part number is TS-COP9A-SAA

try a tv repair man before you run out of money we all have our limits on thing we can fix.

Don, The HDMI is best..but you need the standard HDMI cable. BUT this JVC is in the new Noah movie? Seriously, it wont handle Roku. The digital in function is strictly 480 p. I think you will have to upgrade to a newer tv for this source

I had the same problem with my JVC projection tv. It would flash green, then go to regular picture then back to green flashes. Not sure if this is the solution you were looking for, but I was able to get a good crisp picture using composite cables instead of the HDMI cable.

take it out and put it back in it may have been put in wrong or something

sounds like the lamp went out in it. change lamp and u should get sound and picture

If JVC does not have it you are likely out of luck, if the outer protective screen it might be possible to have a piece of plexiglass cut and put in but the original was anti glare coated so you would likely have a glare issue.

It almost sounds like a setting issue that might require the proper remote to control. You mentioned "tv input" are we talkin RF/Cable screw on input or rca type composit video input? and essentaily yes to your question all the inputs are microprocessor controlled as well as the entire functionality of the set. You can probably pick up the correct remote for a few bucks on ebay or elsewhere on the net.

What did you have before you replaced the lamp?

usually it is the lamp this set uses, has it been replaced or is over 2 years old?

Go to menu then find auto demo and turn it off

The Ballast is what powers Lamp On. Follow the leads coming from where Lamp Connects and it will lead you to the Ballast Board.

when you say out problem you may need to check yhe convergengs ics

This set should never need cleaning--only has a single optical lens--I suggest you do not attempt to take it apart at all. l cannot imagine any possible reason or benefit from doing this.

If the lamp has not been replaced in a long time it is the most common reason for this--average life span in this set is 2,000 hours for average user.
