On button keeps clicking on and off, unit

HelloThis is a short circuit indication. There will be some kind of circuit short on the main board of this tV. Just check it. The most common fault I detected so far is with horizontal output section. Check that section for any faulty or leaky components. The work is a very skilled one, and you must have through knoledge in electronics, and all testing equipements and you must have the awareness to use these testin equipments. Eventhough the fault is a simple one, detecting the actual fault point is a very skilled job indeed. Check these I've stated above. If you want anymore assistance from me, feel free to get me by FixYa. OK.

Hi. First, open your browser.
I'm guessing by your statement that somehow facebook has turned into your home page, so here is how to fix that.
These instructions are for Firefox, Internet explorer instructions are further down.

Ok, now, leave the first page open for now, and open a new tab.
Immediately click the stop button, so that no page opens.

Next in the address bar type: www.google.com and press enter.
This should give you the google website.
Next, Left click on the little g logo that is at the beginning of the address bar, and hold down the mouse button, and drag it to on top of the browsers home button.
It should pop up a box that either asks, or states, that google is being added as your home page.

This is the way to do it for foxfire.

Now, here is how to change your homepage in internet explorer.

You can do this with or without a browser being open.

With is easier, just from instruction standpoint, but after a couple of steps, it is the same for IE

Open IE browser
click the tools tab
click internet options
OK, this will pop up the internet properties box
Change the address of the homepage from facebook.com to google.com
Delete the facebook entry on the homepage list
click apply
This should take care of the problem, but before you close the internet property box click delete history, and have the system delete your browsing history.
It may make a few webpages load a little slower, but it could be a cookie is what is making facebook always be on top.
Delete your browsing history in firefox as well.

Then reboot, and try opening a browser.
It should work normal for you again.

This is an easy repair if you've ever soldered and would not be too costly for a repair shop to do it for you. The problem is a bad Vertical Output IC (usually mounted on an aluminum heat sink with the part on it labeled LA78?? ) and 1 or 2 bad capacitors. Some times you can even fix the problem by re-soldering the contacts of the IC- To find the IC follow the 4 wires that come from the Yoke (which is a contained coil of wires slipped over the neck of the picture tube(s)) back to the board. 2 of the wires go to the horizontal o/p and 2 to the Vertical o/p the thinner gauge wires are for the vertical. Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!
