JVC AV-27F702 27" TV Questions & Answers
Can i hook my lap
Hello
This model CRT tv cannot be connected directly to lap top. Laptop has VGA output and there is no VGA input to this TV. Tv has only AV sockets to connect in. You must have a VGA to Audio Video converter to be used in between TV and Laptop. This device can be bought from electronc shops. It will have a VGA input, and audio video output. You have to connect your laptop to this device using a VGA to VGA connecter, and from this devices' output, you will get audio video output, which can be connected to TV and select the TVs' input to AV. OK.
TV turns on for about
I assume the light is blinking red, generally this may stand for a trouble code depending on the number of flashes.
I am thinking that since these tvs have had problems in the video circuitry, I think vertical amplifier for the picture or a similar part went bad and is just causing the tv to shut down. Unfortunately due to the age and type of the tv, it is definitely not worth fixing. A part replacement would cost about half of a new LCD tv of this size alone if it is what I am thinking. Sorry for the bad news, but this tv is done unless you want to stick more money into a tv that isn't worth fixing rather than buying a new one.
Let me know how this works out for you.

Tv picture is black, sound is fine
Sorry, no easy answer here. On an older set this would be
espected and not worth repairing, but you should take this to a TV shop
for troubleshooting. Most likely culprit is the flyback
transformer and/or the horizontal deflection.
Hope Ya Fix It.
Digital
If you mean will this tv get digital signals or not , it will not, it is an analog tv
Second input connection does not work
Here is a link for the manual to your TV.
It looks like page 14 says that you must Set the V2 Component In on the initial set up menu to YES for proper display.
Let me know if this is where the problem is! If not, we can continue!
Will not turn on
So, you did not find the bad Cap in the powersupply?? Might get yourself some glasses cause you seem to be blind.
The input button
On some sets you can use the menu button to enter the menu and navigate to the page which shows what input is currently selected and change it there. If your set does not have that option, then you will need the remote to do it. I have found that on some universal remotes, the TV/VCR button switches the inputs on the TV when the remote is in the TV mode. If that button does not work on your remote for your set, and you have tried all possible codes for JVC TVs, then the only way to switch inputs is to invest a few dollars more and get an original remote from JVC or have the set repaired so that the input button on the TV functions again.
Jvc tv
If you can take it back I would, if it is turning its self off it has issues. It may have been dropped and a board may be cracked, or some other issue. sorry.

My JVC TV has an onscreen remote that doesn't let us use the actual remote what do I do to gat it out?
Hello! If your JVC TV is displaying an onscreen remote and you're unable to use the actual remote, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Power cycle the TV: Turn off the TV and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can often reset any temporary issues and restore the functionality of the actual remote.
- Replace the remote batteries: Check the batteries in your remote control and make sure they have enough power. If the batteries are low, replace them with fresh ones and try using the remote again.
- Check the remote control sensor: Ensure that there are no obstructions between the remote control and the TV's remote control sensor. Clean the remote control sensor on the TV with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any dust or debris that may be interfering with the signal reception.
- Reset the TV to factory settings: If the issue persists, you can try resetting the TV to its factory settings. Keep in mind that this will erase any personalized settings and restore the TV to its original configuration. Refer to the user manual or the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset on your specific JVC TV model.
- Contact JVC customer support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's recommended to reach out to JVC customer support for further assistance. They will have access to more specific troubleshooting steps and can guide you through the process of resolving the issue with the onscreen remote.
Keep in mind that the exact steps and options may vary depending on your specific JVC TV model. Refer to the user manual or contact JVC customer support for model-specific guidance.
