Compaq iPAQ MP2810 Multimedia Projector
hi all... i have this projector and it boosts up flashes the blue screen and sometimes the projected image too. then goes to standby mode.
I have managed to keep it going enough to see the problem for myself. Here is what i did.. lye the projector on its left side while a cool blower blows through the left side of the lamp housing. fire it up and it will stay on. I went to the menu and did a factory reset as well as lamp hours reset. checked the lamp hours and it was at zero. so its never going to stay on for long for one reason.
As the lamps get older the emit more heat and therefore cause the unit to shutdown. so if you want it to work your going to have to order that lamp. The cheapest i found is from austrailia link off ebay below.

last link is for the manual found in this forum but not clear on how to get it.

No power to projector
Generally when the globe goes end of life and needs replacing the unit will fail to power up. Try another globe if you have one spare.
Cannon Projector LX-V5
Hi guys
Try using a different signal cable.
If this doesn't solve your problems , you will most probably be looking a new Mainboard.
Very expensive part to have replaced , so try and get a dealer that can repair.
System shuts down
Hi labiancad
Were you able to see if all of the fans are working ?
Is there any of the LED's on the Projector flickering and what colour if they are ?
No power on Compaq MP2800 Microportable Projector
I am currently struggling with this issue.
There is an easily-accessed fuse inside the projector.
I was very excited to discover this last night.
However, before you get you're hopes up (as I did) remember: If the fuse blew, something else probably went first. After buying and replacing the fuse today, I realise that I need to replace or repair the power supply as it pops the fuse every time.
Here's how to get to the fuse:
Take off the lamp.
Now, looking at the projector from the back, you need to remove the left hand side panel.
This involves taking out 2 screws from that panel, 2 from the bottom and the 2 video connector hexagonal bolt things that are also in that panel.
The panel sort of hinges off, starting from the bottom.
You will see the fuse in the bottom right corner where the power lead goes.
It is a slow-blow (time delay fuse) so get the exact same one to replace it. A pack of 10 cost me €4.19 in Maplin, Galway, Ireland.
Anyways, this did not do the job for me... the power supply set the fuses off like fireworks and also blew a few in the socket plug as well (I don't think US readers will have those)
I will let you know how I get on with the power unit....
Good luck to ye!
Printer
Go to Control Panel look and see what printer or printers are connected to your PC.
Then I would try to reinstall my new printer.
