First place to look will be the power supply section. Look for bad capacitors, burnt parts, loose connections. You can download service manual here for further troubleshooting.

Thanks for using FixYa. I believe it’s the main video backlight board that has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Before replacing the board also check for bulge/swollen capacitors on the power board and the control board. Power supply capacitors are the most likely culprit but you also need to look out for bad solder connections as well.

You need to find out first if the IR transmitter is puting out the signal, you can test it by using your digital camera, juts point the remote at the camera lens, you should see flashing light on your camera screen.

Check the power supply module.

Just go into the menu and go down to install and the set will do the rest. Pay attention to the on screen directions. Some Polaroids scrolled across the screen at the top and some down, but you will see what I mean once you get started.

these sets dont have verticale circuits as old sets had
this will most likely require a digital board to correct this problem
or a control box they can run 350.00 and up for the part

Ur main video backlight board is dead needed to be replaced.U can tries unplug and replug the tv might work for awhile,but sooner or later u have to replaced the main backlight video board.

you have a bad capacitor in your power supply the can like device will have a puffed up top on it . have it replaced or if your capable do it your self

I think you need a new power board or maybe just a contol board. I could have parts shipped to you if you want. I need comlete model#, serial # and manufature date please...

I cannot guarantee you the part will fix this since I cannot see teh TV and diagnose it. I can most likely get the part for you after reviewing tech manual but I need serial #, manufature date and complete model number which I believe you supplied but please confirm. I can have teh part(s) shipped right to you and if you have any electronic work experience, you can probably replace the part yourself.

connect the chords corrrectly.change the tv input to corresponding mode and try again.
