Verbatim 1TB USB2.0 HDD USB 2.0 Hard Drive Questions & Answers
It got formatted to NTFS
The is a very good program called Filescavenger which will recover files from your disk. I know I have used it and on a verbatim 1TB. The problem I have is that my Verbatim 1TB Model53018 keeps losing its visibility in windows and I have to recover all the files and transfering to another disk!!! Its just bollocks and I won't be buying another one of these **** things. Pay more and get a reliable disk. If Verbatim want to send me a fix... feel free and I might take down this comment.

if your computer came with
a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it
sometimes the wires inside
the cable will be damaged due to bending or stretching or placing heavy
equipment upon the cable,
just replace the cable of
the hard disk, when you plugged the external disk drive you got that
windows could recognize the USB device change the cable everything should work
fine again,
check the USB leads that
attach to the motherboard usually red-white-green-black make sure they are
securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a
lot of unforeseen problems also make sure the computers Ram and Cmos battery
are securely seated
hope this helps

That beeping signals a failure to communicate between the disk and the motherboard of the pc - the disk is defective. You have a slim chance of recovering what's on it by removing the actual disk from the external case and plugging it in the a desktop.
My pc wount boot if
The way to stop this is to turn off usb boot support in the bios. Essentially its trying to boot from that hard drive, enter the bios and look for usb boot and disable it.

My Verbatim External hard drive Model 47672 just won't power up all of a sudden. How do I go around fixing it, using, etc?
The device is USB powered and the first test is to see if it opens on another computer and if not, another cable. If it does not work, the next thing to know is the probability of being able to get the unit operating again is very slim. Those devices use SMT components and they require very specialized service and diagnostic equipment. That is the reason that these drives come with back up software. You need to back up the back up. There is a slight chance that you may be able to remove the drive from the housing and plug it into a computer directly, of use a universal cable to activate it. Keep in mind that the drive has a lifespan.

Dvd player keeps saying wrong region code
You only get to make four or five code changes and, for copyright reasons, thats it.
You can download Anydvd from Slysoft.com and it will nest in your desk top, and remove all dvd codes as you load. The dvds then run "Region Free"
They will copy with Dvd shrink and so your back ups are region free as well.

Verbatim USB1T external drive
Assuming it’s powered on, do you hear the “usb” sound when you connect it to the computer? If not, try a different usb port, or a different cable. If you hear the sound, check for the disk in “computer management”. It may need partitioned or formatted.
