try removing the battery and just use the mains power. If the laptop works you may need a new battery. If it doesn't your charger is faulty.

more info needed please, is the power unit working? is the battery ok? have you got any lights coming on? does the fan try to turn?

did you take your card about bud ? how exactly do you need help getting it back together

Reset bios to defaults and try again. If that doesn't work then its possible that your hard drive has failed.

Tried checking the power supply with a voltmeter? If it is low voltage it won't boot.

does it beep when it goes to black screen? if so it could be a B IOS problem count the beeps and look up your computers BIOS system on another computer. The beeps indicate certain issues. Some of them are easily solved others are better left to a pro.If you have no beeps then it may be a burnt out power pack. If it's a desk top it's easy to fix. If it's a lap top is a little harder. Either way both if you have never opened a computer can be scary, Get a techy to look at it if you don't feel comfortable with tackling this. Hope this helps a little

Not being able to connect to the Internet depending on what method you are using for your internet connection if wireless or cable or DSL I would reboot everything unplug it all modem routers if any and modem or DSL box and the computer as well. What happens sometimes when Windows sleeps it closes off the Internet connection as well and you may have to log back in. Make sure that you are powered off and then connect everything back up again and let it do its thing and try to access the Internet again.

If it will not access the internet make sure that you do not have laptop set to wireless if you are using a cable or DSL R-45 cable wiring. I'm assuming wireless for the laptop so make sure that the switch if any is switched to wireless as well.

If all else fails contact your IP service and have a technician come out and take a peak at it. Often times it has been my IP on their end that does not work and they have to reset the router or modem to get the DNS to work again.
