Radeon 9800 freezes the screen
assuming you have done a recent spyware and antivirus scan incase of any trojans or worms running in the background taking up processor usage, you may have a driver problem, especially if you have recently fitted another graphics card and left the old card driver installed, you should uninstall the old driver before fitting the card and installing the new driver.
take the side off your pc and make sure also that the heatsink fan on your processor is not clogged with dust and ensure there is plenty of air ventillation allowed by checking ide cables arent restricting the flow especially near the graphics card incase the card is overheating.
to give a clue to the problem if it is software driver related go to control panel>administrative tools>event viewer, then in the left hand column look on the applications line and system line and see if there are any red crosses or exclamatiomn marks relating to what you wer doing or running at the time.

If you're not sure if a module is right for your system, use the Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules. first you will need to select the manufacturer from a drop down list then select your product line from a drop down list then select the model then click find it will take you directly to compatible ram also you will have an option to scan your system hope it helps
