Thomson 20LCDB03B 20 in. Television - Page 9 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Hi,
Hi,
it happens the same on mine, I think it's a special mode used on shop to avoid people using it. I don't know how to remove it but it works using the remote controller.
bye
Alberto

My thompson 20DG8RTS/B tv has
well that's good you have courage to do that, maybe a components problem that cause the defect, mere visual inspection is not enough you have to check the fuse, power supply circuits if you know and you must use a multi-tester to do that, if you can do it, if can't bring or call tech in your area.

Hi, I have a problem
When I put in your model number and manufacturer I get this Sanyo remote. Does this look like your original remote?

My thomson projection tv serial
This sounds like the protection circuit operating. With projection TV's, the cooling fan is essential to prevent damage from overheating. The fan contains a pulse generator to indicate rotation. If the pulse stops, the protection circuit will turn off the set. 5 minutes may be how long the fan takes to seize when it warms up. Also possibly heat sensitve parts along the cooling path covered with dust causing heat sensors to operate.

My thomson box states no
Sounds like your drive has failed. Fit a new drive of the same size and format it with the utility in your digi box.

I have 2 Thomson DCI1011
A downconverter does just that - converts all the channels to standard definition analog ; so no, there isn't one that can do what you want.
What you want is called a cable receiver: it converts all channels to digital and should be connected thru a digital connection (HDMI) to the tv. But if your new tv is capable of receiving digital channels why aren't you plugging the cable directly in it? No box will be needed in that case.

After recording a programme last
Hi, a common problem with the thomson freeview boxes is capacitors leaking in the power supply, The ones that go usually are the two 1000uf capacitors. If any of the capacitors look deformed, ie the tops look domed in any way. I would change them , Handy if you know how to use a soldering iron. If you can use a soldering iron remember to put the new capacitor in the same way ( the wires are marked so you must put them in the same way round).

Thomson AW3717651 TV has sound
Hi,
It could be one out of the two problems..
1. The plasma panel or the components which supply electricity to the plasma in the panel have packed up.2. The video processing unit in the set has gone.
Also the y-sus video board which is a common problem with plasma sets.Call a competent person to remove the back panel-remove the board and power the set up-if it is this board the set will display the top half of the picture only-when replaced no picture will be displayed.
Please get back to us if you have any further query or else accept the solution.
Thanks for contacting fixya.com

Dvd thomson dth160e
key lock is
Does key lock show on the display of the DVD or on the actual TV screen? Have you attempted to unplug the dvd player from the wall, let it sit at least 2 minutes unplugged, then replug it in to the wall and see if the keys remained locked, they definitely should not.
Thanks, let me know and I can definitely help further,
Tim

We purchased a thomson tv
Best advise! Sell it or exchange it for a better TV. Your old TV
may not more than Rs. 800/=
Now a days you do not get talented technicians and original
spares. Do not attach sentiments to the TV. If so keep it in one corner
and go for another TV.
