Im staying in a hotel
Most hotels disable the auxiliary inputs on their TVs through a special menu that you need an access code or special button sequence to access. If you inquire at the front desk, they may be able to assist you, but most of the staff will not be trained on how to do this.

I have a Thomson DTI6300-16
Well if it will not respond to any remotes yet it does respond to the controls on the unit itself, then it must be the receiver in the unit itself that has faulted? Or something is covering the receiver on the unit? Try new batteries in the old remote, take remote apart carefully make sure there is no moisture under the rubber keypad, or that the diode at the end isn't broken around the solder joint? If you do all this and it's still not working then the fault will lay within the unit itself and will have to be repaired. This is not a big repair and is quite common, I get them from time to time in my shop and they run out at about $75 - 100 bux. So at least take it to a repair shop and ask for a "quote" at the least and go from there?

I have a Thompson DT16300-16
I have the same issue. I have tried another hard drive which worked the last time I used it and still got the click. I tried another IDE cable but no luck. This happened once before. That time it just started working once I re-assembled the box - don't know why. I am thinking a PSU/mainboard issue and might be time to get a new one. Did you solve the issue or did you replace. If so what did you go for?

Part reqd for a thompson
You need to take the back of and check and see if the F connector is a seperate piece, or attach to the tuner, if attached to tuner, then you are looking at a new tuner, if seperate, you might get the piece at MCM electronics.

It could be that the sleep mode was activated - hence the shotdown sequence. Try unpluggung your TV for 5 mins and then try starting it back up.
Good luck.

Recordable digitial box keeps freezing
Most likely fault is the power supply. This is not user repairable and should only be repaired by a competent electronics engineer.

hi,
Do you mean usage time with one charging then you will get approximately 2.5 hours at full charge.
If you mean the how many years the battery will work with out replacement then it will depend on the way of usage. Also the company itself cant tell how many years it will work perfectly.

Thomson VCR VPH6950U. Cassette loaded
Hello,
the cassette is stuck in this the mechanism. It can be manually remove.
Turn off the player and remove plug from the wall. Get a Philip screw driver, disassemble the player's cover in order to gain access to the internal part of the VCR.
Check the side of the mechanism, you will see a plastic. The plastic lifts up the cassette from the mechanism, so lift up the plastic and the cassette should come out.
Study the mechanism very well, and you will see where to lift the plastic and cassette should come out.
Let me know if you need more help.
Regards.

Make sure that the remote is working by pointing your remote to a IR sensor or use the phone camera to detect -- open the phone camera/digital camera and show the remote with button pressed on to the camera as it will be displayed if IR works.
If so then the IR detector in the TV must be taken out , checked and replaced. You can measure the incident voltage on the IR sensor in the TV if present but not sensing it is faulty but if working without any action then the processor is also a suspect.

Model 27LCDB03B-simply appears to be
Hello Chris, Hi, your TV's power supply section is not functioning properly. If the fuse is in good shape, then the auxiliary power section of the power supply is not functioning, this section powers the switching oscillator and IC that sends the pulse to the switching element like power transistors to create a main secondary voltage. the main secondary voltage is the circuit that produces all voltage needed source by the TV. what you can do if you are up to it.
A. Visualize any bulging capacitors, replace them.
B. Measure the voltage across the following section in particular order so we can find the faulty parts.
- the AC input on the Power supply board. (none means open switch or power cable)
- the AC after the line filter circuit. (none means open line filter)
- the DC on the filter capacitor. (none means problem on the rectifier)
- then the AC on the switching element or input on the main transformer. (most likely you won't have any voltage reading hear.)if you do have continue.... (none means you scratch your head, this is the hardest part) check all low value resistors, high wattage resistors open or shorted diodes.
- the dc on the secondary filter capacitors.
If not have this checked by a technician, its to complicated for you.

Is there no sound coming from the television? The first assumption will be that the speakers are spoilt. If that is the case, you should hire a television technician to have a look. But with the prices of television going down these days, it is usually more cost worthy to get a new set instead.
