Hello, first switch off the system for a while like 30 minutes, then put it on back. You can try and reset it if it has reset functions on it. If that dd not work out, in other to prevent further damage to the player, call a radio repairer to adjust the rubber inside where the cd opener is. It is somehow stiff and it needs to be free a little bit for it to work properly again. Also check the voltage of the light you are using on the system that light affect it to. Take care.

some of possibilities are:

a) a burnt out LED (light emmiting diode) inside the display (could be tricky or difficult to change it) or a faulty LED power supply line

b) if the light source is an electroluminescent panel, possibly the panel itself or the power supply is faulty (electroluminescent panels use an elevated voltage power supply which is in the shape of a small box somewhere inside the housing, with two wires going to the panel - it is also possible that the power supply is not in the form of a box but is in fact an integral part of the circuitry).

c) a loose wire contact - check the connectors for any broken wires, oxidation on contacts or loose solder points for connectors on the circuit board

Anyway, these are just possibilities so the trouble may as well be somewhere else in the system.

Try this... unplug the unit and turn it upside down.  Have a small screwdriver ready.  No plug the unit in and try to turn the wheel in the large slot clockwize.  When you see the spring clip try to grab the white plastic stop and move it clockwize.  This should eventually open the door.  It did for me.

You might remove the case and remove the disks. Uplug first.
Be carefully not to force or bend parts. retry

There is a problem with the device itself...what I would recommend you to do is to return it from the store you purchase it...there isnt anything phisycally you can do about the problem you are having...it is the device itself that is defective.

Have you tried cleaning the sensor on your stereo, and also the transmitter on the front of your remote? Otherwise check the battery terminals in the remote for corrosion to make sure the batteries havent leaked.

Check that you have power at the outlet, (by plugging something else in), and check that nothing has chewed the supply lead. After that I would say that the power supply inside the unit has died. Pull it apart and check the voltage(s) with a multimeter but, only if you have some electrical know how and equipment.

When you connect it to the computer is it showing as a portable drive? IF so you should be able to browse it and delete them that way, or you could format it .

If you have a remote version here is how it works. Press timer menu, hours should flash, then press up an down arrows until you get to clock set. Press enter on remote. press up an down arrows to set hours, then press enter. Minutes now flash, press up an down to set, press enter on remote clock starts.

Most of these set top boxes use encryption for the recorded material. This has to do with copyright protections, a lot of legal stuff, and etc. Get another box of the same model, and activate it on the same account. Try swapping out the hard drive or SSD module to the new box. In many cases this works. Some of the newer high end boxes are now using SSD technology to hold the recorded files. Hello Joan, To record a satellite you will need two scart leads. Plug one end of the first scart lead into the "DVD/VCR SCART" socket on the back of the satellite receiver, then plug the other end into the "INPUT" scart on the back of the VCR. Take one end of the second scart lead and plug it into the "OUTPUT" socket on the back of the VCR and plug the other end into "SCART IN" socket on the back of the TV.
