I have a 1975 Sansui

It's likely there is a fault on the power amp. This is located on the heatsink. A visual check inside the unit might be what you need. Look out for blown parts, bulging capacitors or burnt components. Remember the two channels are generally separate and identical. So identify the two channels. Work back from the speaker sockets if you can't tell. Then compare the left channel parts with the right side components. If it looks odd on the left compared to the right you have found the problem.

RZ-5100 Has Protector signal and

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'nekkid'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Tone switch causing loud pop in speakers tripping protectiveRelay

The tone control on this one sounds like it is an active one and either using the low or high pass filter you would be boosting the higher or lower frequencies. Boosting the lower frequecies will be harder on the amplifier, in which case if you would like to use then you may need to connect speakers with a lower impedance or higher sensitivity.

Pioneer SX1280 repair

I have taken my 1280 to Austin Stereo, they are honest , upfront, and guarantee their work. So impressed that I took a 1080 that two previous techs had butchered and they fixed it to like new specs.512-451-0408 is their #. They go out of their way to help those of us that are not well versed in techspeak. Both units sound superb with the big 15 inch Cerwin Vega speakers!!!

I have Sansui Home theater (HTIB 1003), when. I press on power button, it just turns blue light but it doesn't show Hello words and it does not Load,,,, what can be the problem?

If the TV has no picture or sound, but the led turns from red to blue or green that means the mainboard has sent the power supply board the start up signal. The first thing that needs to be done is the voltages need to be checked to the power board. Follow the steps.
1. Hold the (menu) and (vol-) buttons on the side of the TV.
2. While holding the (menu) and (vol-) button on the side of the TV you also need to press the (power) button on the side of the TV (NOT REMOTE).
3. When the blue light comes on and stays on wait 10 seconds then let go of the (menu) and (vol-) button.
4. Wait 30 more seconds. After waiting another 30 seconds you should see some type of picture appear on your screen. — If those steps do not work then you need to unplug your TV for 10 minutes then hold the (power) button on the side of your TV for 60 seconds - plug in and turn your TV on.

If those steps do not fix your problem I would check to see if your device is still covered under a warranty. If not I recommend www.tvrepairpros.com they will find a technician in your area to further assist you.

Sansui Home Theater HT1B-3000 has no sound. How do I fix it please?

Re-check all of your wires between the TV and the system are fitted correctly at both ends. I usually concentrate on the TV first where I remove ONE connector and wipe it with a DRY lint free cloth and refit it, making sure it is pushed fully in. Then do the same to the next connector, (remove, clean and refit), and so on until they are all done. Then I move to the back of the TV and use the same method. Also do this to any DVD players and anything else you've got plugged into the theatre system. Once you have done this recheck all the settings on the Theartre system AND the TV as sometimes settings can get changed accidentally when changing other settings.
