Bose amplifier does not work with a 6 speaker selector
your wall speakers may not be connected.... disconnect each speaker from the selector box and test with a small AAA battery to see if they are connected by putting the battery between each speaker's wires , you will hear it crackle ,then gradually connect each wall speaker onto the speaker connector box . If the first set does not work i suggest there may be a problem with your speaker selector box . Good luck
Bose SA-3 Amp / Blown Fuse
The problem is not the transformer. You now have shorted output transistors at the very least. By corssing the wires you presented a zero(0) ohm impedence load to the output section. It quickly went into overload. Before the fuses had a chance to open up, the outputs fried. This unit will require new output transistors and perhaps the previous driver circuit will require parts as well. Figure on $20-$50 in parts plus hte local labor rate for the repair.

SA3 amplifier to move to Europe : capability of the transformer ?
While living in the States I purchased a Bose Acoustimass 10 system but have now moved back to the UAE. As the system operates on 115 volts ONLY I would like to get it work on 240V without having to use a step-down transformer. By changing out the transformer form 115v to 240v will it work or will I have to change any other components within the system. Can anyone help me??
Bose as-3
You need to change the internal transformer, it is not simple unles you have some electrical knowledge, I made the same mistake and ended up selling the us one and buying a 240v one
Where is fuse in Bose SA-3 Amp
If there is not an external round push and turn style fuse port then it is in the unit itself. You will have to take it apart.
