My remote stopped working

First check the batteries. Then clean all of the connections. If still nada then check out the remote by pointing it at an am radio set to 600khz about 6 inches away and listen for beeping when you press any button. If nothing happens then the remote is trashed and needs to be replaced.

(Bose lifestyle 28) DVD picture is distorted, shadowy and difficult to discern

Try the settings setup and adjust the brightness, video format, or video black level. If you're using component connections then adjust the video output. You can scroll system setup through the remote control settings button.

No sound

Sometimes it is as simple as pulling the powerplugs of the system and then powering it up again. This resets the system and may get you going again. Also make sure that the cable between the center and the bass module is well plugged in. to be sure unplug and replug on both ends. If that does not work your unit needs to go back to Bose.

Where is the switch for the acoustimas module

If you're talking about the subwoofer, if you don't see a physical switch anywhere on the cabinet, it is turned on or off, as it sees(hears) audio content coming to it at the input connection. If it still doesn't work, please check to be sure you don't have the subwoofer switched off, if that even possible. Another possible answer is that the amplifier in the subwoofer may be damaged. For more information, please contact me at my website, audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

No sound using optical out on sony bravia xbr

Optical Output is not generally used for a subwoofer output, nor is it used as a subwoofer input. Please check the type of connection again to be sure. Both methods are for digital use, however, the Optical output uses an LED for digital communications at the receiver, as well as an Optical transistor to receive this input at the subwoofer. Optical connections willing have a blicking light at the end of the cable that goes to the subwoofer, coaxial(RCA) connections will not flash. For more information, please contact me at my website audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Bose lsps speaker system

First, please check that you have everything switched correctly. If you still have no audio, any functions, but the unit turns on, you may have DC Offset, meaning a damaged amplifier. For more information, please contact me at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Bose av28 access menu using control buttons

when this happened to me,,,I found out it meant that the video decoding ASIC was out....I could not get any DVD's to play to the TV, and finally, the "settings" menu would not go on the television screen....this means you need to have the mainboard replaced, and after twice doing this,,,,the Tech on the phone told me that the Video Decoding ASIC is very susceptible to power spikes,,,so I put a big APC filter in front of it....

My Bose rc28t1-27 remote feels

Hi mjlfield,

That rattling sound is the antenna core broken loose from the board. It needs to be re soldered back on. The case is snapped together very hard and takes a lot of squeezing to get it apart. You will also need a soldering iron to solder the antenna back on.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.
